Day 47.  Spent about fifteen minutes (about as many balls) practicing indoors, 8-iron (flight) and 6-iron (full), off a mat, into a net.  Plush balls the first two and then real balls for the rest.  Focused on level pelvis and arms hanging down for setup.

Day 156 - Spent a couple hours at a course today. First hour was short game work. Started with tight lies and worked on pitch and chipping motions with my 54 and PW. Followed with work from rough to different pin locations both up and down hill. Did a few flops near the end. Too many people on the green for sand work.

Second hour was irons and driver. Mostly did Key 5 work including the stick drill place about 25 feet in front. Driver has the most variability still. Finished with long pitches with 9 iron and PW.

Day 2:  Went to range.  Focus on stance, posture, stable legs, and steady head.  Happy with the results.  Consistency trending in the right direction.

Day 35:

Did takeaway work to A3 for a few minutes then did some swing motions sans club. I might stop rehearsing to A4 (and stopping there) altogether. Continuing to build feels around the new lower body priority piece. Really liking this much more athletic swing.

Day 238

Did a bunch of different stuff today. Started with some recording of 7-iron full swings. Noticed I was taking the club back with an extremely shut face, like almost pointing at the ground sometimes. Did some rehearsals to feel it more aligned with my body angle, and then recorded a few more swings. Much better, and for some reason I made a better hip/shoulder turn, and contact was good.

Repeated the takeaway feel with 3W and driver and hit some balls. Also experimented with driver tee height to see if/how that impacts where the ball contacts the face. Turns out teeing the ball about 1/8-1/4” lower compared to my normal height moved contact from a high on the face more toward center, resulting in more ball speed, so noted that for next round.

Finished off the practice with superspeed workout.

Day 3: Played a practice round at my "home" 9 hole course.  Very consistent today.  For fun, played the 2 remaining holes in my par challenge straight up.  Actually had a par on 5, and had my par putt on 7 graze the edge of the cup. But since its a practice round, I won't count it.  I'll get them soon enough.

Day 36:

Long net session working on the new lower body priority pieces. Getting better at slowing down my practice, but it can surely get sloooooooower.

Yesterday, 8/4, I missed.  I believe it is my first miss in at least 28 days.  I can double check, but I think the last day I missed was in late June.  How are others keeping track?

Day 48.  Had 15 minutes to hit 8-iron and 6-iron in my practice room today, practice swings and some balls too.  Off a mat, into a net, indoors, using plush balls (first two) and then real balls.

Day 220 - August 5, 2020

Got a little full swing mirror work in. I think I was a bit too upright. I played a tiny bit more bent forward yesterday and hit the ball SO much better.

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
    • Day 109- Putting drills on a putting green for 20 minutes.
    • Day 252: did a stack session. Did some slow rehearsal swings during breaks.
    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
