Things got busy and also really sucked at golf coming back so took a break. Regular pro moved to NY and is 30 minutes away nice not to have to block off half a day to go way out to Jersey, just be done in under 2 hours. Took one lesson about a month ago and worked on stuff myself. Key #4. Staying in inclination. Not letting arms getting out in front of me. A6 - A7 keep clubhead from going too out towards ball.
I'd have to hunt down my scorecard, but it was high 80s-low 90s. When I played, there were no issues on the green except for one--the par 3 with the tree. In fact, we couldn't step foot on that green. We hit our shots and staff folks would retrieve our ball. They did something like, if you hit the green you got a 2 putt par and if you were inside 10' then you got a birdie. The reason being was because there was an invasion of a species of grass not native to the course and was wreaking havoc. They tried to stop the spread. When I played, the course was beautiful and in great shape. Rough was tough, but it was an awesome trip.
72 today on Pinehurst #6. 35/37. Sandy Par on the 1st hole. A good day for fairways and greens. Had 11 Fairways and 14 GIR’s. 2 birdies, 3 bogeys. Boggied the last hole from 122. Back pin, flew the green. Oh well!
