Day 96.  Today was supposed to be speed sticks day, but wasn't.  Instead, I did the medicine ball drill from LSW (indoors, on a mat, not sure why I did so on the mat).

Day 97.  First day of speed sticks, protocol two.  Got the red stick on initial run to 103, which I believe is a personal best.  Done outdoors in my backyard.

Day 287

Ball striking has been iffy for the last few practice sessions and I feel like I’m doing something weird with my hands and arms. So I went back to a basic drill of slow speed 9-3 swings, with the feel of my lead hip pulling my trail elbow across my belly button. Hit about 75 balls doing this, with the goal to hit 10 in a row crisp (not fat or thin, no shanks), and repeat 5 times.

Day 46

Same focus and routine. At the end of my last set of swings I decided to really let one go and try to swing at max speed just to see what it looked like and I was pleased to see that while it wasn't as good as my slow swings it is on plane and no hint of my old habits. Slow and steady is winning the race.

Day #7

Worked with the Pelz Putting Tutor to work on starting putts on line.  Doing better on soft putts but when I try to hit a little longer tend to push it right.

Day 60

Spent 45 minutes on the putting green today.  Stayed focused on 15' and in with bulk of all practice from 10' and in.  All distances and putted everything out.

After analyzing my last round I need to focus on short game from 100 yards in.  That has been my single largest area of lost strokes this season.

Day 98.  During the work day today, I snuck to the adjacent (for me) room and hit 6-iron practice shots periodically.  Real balls, indoors, off a mat, into the net.

Day 288

Did a video check of my swing. On short, slow swings I’ve got my hip priority piece down well and strike the ball cleanly, but full swings have been a mess. Turns out my attempts to not drag the club head too far inside (sub priority piece) has caused my shoulder turn to shorten considerably. Fixed this in a couple rehearsals and full swings with a ball.

Did same drill as yesterday with 9-3 swings.

Then a superspeed workout.

Then hit 5 balls with driver, all strikes in a pretty good spot on the face.
