Day 278: 9/26/24

Weight shift drills with ProSendr an putting through 50 mm gates.

Day 146 (26 Sep 24) - Worked with longer irons and 4h today…into the net with regular balls and then with hard foam balls focused on setup, specific landing target zones, and a few dink and run shots to replicate green side chips.

Day 257 - Filmed more swings. Slowing down the speed helped me “Change the Dang Picture!”

Day 71: did a stack session.

Day 72: putted a bit on my mat - checking that my hands are raised at set up. Also worked on my grip for a while.

Day 148 (27 Sep 24) - Friday men’s group (only six of us played due to weather from Helene).  Wound up being a so-so round in terms of play.   After the round,  spent time on the practice green alternating between bump and  runs w/9i and pitches with the 54.

Day 258 - Played 9. Driver was great, as were chipping and putting. Couldn’t find a GIR until 8, though.

Day 279: 09/27

Practiced putting and chipping without power during the hurricane. No ability to post!

Day 149 (28 Sep 24) - Band played a midday gig at car show, so practice time was limited.  Did get in time with short iron work (9i) - started with 1/4 pitches (hard foam balls), the 1/2 swings and wrapping up with full swings - all focused on pre-shot alignment and getting smooth follow-thru.

Day 259 - Tournament today. Driver was great, unfortunately I couldn’t do much with those drives. Putting didn’t do me any favors, either.

Day 150 (29 Sep 24) - Two words “sinus crud” - made for a lazy afternoon, managed some putting work.  Did a drill where I set up a ball 12-18” behind the ball - the key is to make sure the backstroke lightly taps rear ball straight back to encourage a square face and straight roll of ball to target point.  A fun drill.

Day 74: went to the driving range with my daughter. Worked just on my grip and where the ball is going. Also did about 10 minutes of short putting.

Day 260 - Gonna give the elbow a break this week, so I’ll likely be doing a lot of putting work. Today was mostly focused on rolling putts from 3-7 feet.

Day 151 (30 Sep 24) -  Got in some work in the backyard working with 9-7-6 irons.  Shot setup - long target back lines to immediate target line start point - then setting up my alignment from there.  Having had the crud the past couple of days really cut down on the energy level so it was struggle to stay smooth thru the swing.  Hoping for a more solid day tomorrow.

Day 261 - Putting from 7 feet, focused on the starting line.

Day 152 (01 Oct 24) - Still dealing with the crud so I kept it simple - simple 3/4 swings with the 6i into the net and wrapping up with similar swings using hard foam balls to get some ball flight visuals (you know its getting good when 6 out 7 balls finish within a 10yd circle).  Side bar: the great thing about the Edel SMS 6i is that it lets you know when you've made solid contact and when you haven't.

Day 1 - 2024-10-01

Hit some chip shots first (with the NXT Tour type practice balls we have, so of course, all high, a little right, and not very skinny), then chipped some 9I focusing mostly on the backswing and the left wrist cupping. Just like 40-yard shots (which probably went 65 or so).
