Day 321: range session. Filmed while hitting to check things. Need a little more steep in the backswing, but good check to make sure I’m still on track. Also worked on sand shots for about 20 minutes.

Day 322: did the yardstick putting drill for a while. Gotta feel like I’m pulling the putt to keep it online. But good work at it.

Day 38 (7 Jun 25) - A little mid-iron madness today with the 6 & 7 irons.  Same drill - set up, get trail hand aligned, foot positioning and then focused tempo thru the ball.

Played nine holes with @DrizZzY after a playing lesson with some juniors. Messed around with the new stuff from Jayson and Tyson.

Day 39 (8 Jun 25) - Threatening t-storms cut short the time in the backyard yard - managed some work with the 7i and hard foam balls, again focused on staying in the setup-swing process.  Only hit about 20 balls - taking time to walk thru each swing before making it.  Reminded me of the commercial TItleist has out about “trusting the process” as the results will follow…seeing a bit of that happening in my drills (results that is).

Day 251 - 2025-06-08

Got some swings in when a lesson showed up with a back injury. Why they didn't text last night… I don't know. 😛 So I had some time before the next lesson.

I'm doing something a bit different now. I'm folding and rolling a little more while keeping the left wrist cup, and then doing a bit less on the downswing.

Day 323: played 18. Solid +9 that should have been a +5 or better. Missed 5 birdie putts inside of 15’, although none of them were within 10’. Oh well, more chances tomorrow.

Day 41 (10 Jun 25) - Continued work with flighted pitches today - adding the 9i to the mix.  Picking random target points, going with “play as it lies” - from thick and juicy to nice and tight…solid session of confidence building those short shots around the green or when in tough lies.

Got some good work done due to a cancellation from someone's kid getting hoof and mouth disease. Like it's the 1710s. (I kid, it's quite common among younger kids, somehow.)

Planned power outage (that I only found about after the power was out), so while I waited for the Coke delivery… got some practice in. It was dark-ish, but I could see enough in the mirror.

Day 42 (11 Jun 25) - played in weekly get together with my friend and his son-in-law.  Had a great geeen side game today - of the 10 pars made - 8 were up and downs with wedges (most were 5’ or less in proximity to the hole).  Shot of the day - laying 2 on #7 (duffed the approach) just over 55yds out, hit an easy pitch with the 52° - looking for another close putt for par, ball lands and gently rolls in for birdie.   Back side was only two over thru 14, on a solid track. Got lazy and wound up bogeying each of the last four holes - for a 41 back nine.  Still a 78 for the day was a great day on the course.  Really seeing a confidence happening across the bag.

    • It feels like Rory blew his load on the 18th at Augusta. Maybe everyone is underestimating how much that took out of him. Watching McGinley whaling in 'Roaddie' for not stopping by to talk to the press was bit of drag. The dude has given so many interviews and so much of himself over the years, he outghta be able to play with house money sometimes. Jeez, leave him the fak alone.
    • Some positives playing in league tonight.  1st) Making the backswing a more lateral shift, and feeling the left leg and torso resist the turn at the top of the swing is helping out a lot. I got to feel an uncomfortable amount of pause in the backswing to set up the downswing.  2) I need to do a bit of more arm stuff better. Still too much draw or pull draws for my liking.  3) Short game is getting sharp. Many tap-ins tonight. I am trying to make the shortest backswing possible for the shot. It really forces me to stay aggressive with the pivot.

    • Shame to see Rory crash on the back nine. Nice to Spieth play well. Looking forward to seeing Brooks collapse…😂
