Day 78: did about 10-15 minutes of my drill stuff before the kids woke up. Also played putt putt with the kids.

Day 7 (16 Nov 25) - Spent some time working with the wedges - focused on low flighted pitches 5 to 20yds….

Backswing work focusing on hips and turning with chest. Flow drill.

Day 8 (17 Nov 25) - More wedge drills - focused on opening the face for working ball up and over the tulip tree in the backyard.  Makes for rehearsals of those short sided up and downs….

11/17/25 - Day 1

Practiced heads-up putting for an hour, or so. I do better with a radial stroke than my old linear, right-hand back and through. I tend to be really good at home with these drills than on the course.

Day 9 (18 Nov 25) - bump and run drills with varied clubs - started w/7w, then 7i, 9i finishing w/54 in the backyard.  Focused on key target points - where to land the ball to release to the target.

Had a lesson reschedule so I used most of that time to make some backswings.

Day 99 11-18

flow drill. Same drill but using rotation to get to lead side. Hit a few foam balls. Mostly rehearsals

Day 81: mirror work today. Working mostly on feels for downswing part of my drill. Want to really have the hips rotate.

Day 10 (19 Nov 25) - Worked on 3-5-10 yd chipping drills using the SW (my go wedge around the green).  Focused on keeping shaft lean thru impact and not trying to help the ball get in the air (flipping the wrists).

Day 100 9-19

Skill drills tonight, trying to become more aware of shaft and face. Still had a focus on getting to lead side and remaining flowy.

      To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
