Connors continued to play well today and still holds the lead after 54 holes. Several right behind trying to take make their move.

Conners used the force to move the ball there.

First round: 9/18 GIR.
Second round: 11/18 GIR.
Third round: 14/18 GIR.
Fourth round: ???

8/13 fairways today and again scrambling really well. He does lose a few off the tee here and there, but manage to avoid too much trouble with only the single bogey.

I didn’t like the rule but I can see the argument. In that case the old rule wouldn’t have penalized him either. He didn’t cause it to move.

I know this has been argued to death over what that means. My view would be that He swing past the ball, the ball moved...i.e., cause and effect. But I'm no expert and clearly the PGA tour isn't going to take my opinion into consideration...which is probably a smart thing

That's not really cause and effect. One thing happened and another thing also happened. That's coincidence.

The replays clearly show his putter doesn't touch the ball at all.

I don't see how swinging past the conclusively ball caused it to move.

It’s certainly possible that he caused the ball to move but I would say the weight of the evidence is firmly against that conclusion. The ball moved towards him, for crying out loud.

I checked if Conners is related to Jimmy Conners that's a no if anyone was wondering, obviously the media would let us know about it if so, but it just took a minute why not.

I think tiger posts a solid -3/-4 tomorrow and finishes top 3. Weather is supposed to be crap in the morning but fine by the time he tees off. Someone will go low and win whether it be Connors or Sneds who knows?
