One in a hazard on the first par five. Tee shot OB on the second par five. He's doing the opposite of what you want to do on par fives.

Woods has hit only 2 of 6 fairways off the tee (33.33%) but he's also not holing any putts (missed from 12 for birdie on 12, and from 7 feet for par on 16). He better start golfing his ball better than that, which we all know he can, or he'll be struggling to make the cut again. He's already 9 back of the leader at this early stage.

Also missed a 7 foot bogey putt on 15. Not looking good for him based on how low other guys are going so far.

That's more like it on #17 - good drive into fairway, good approach to 11 feet, made putt = Birdie.

In other news, Rose seems to have lost his game since last weekend in Ft Worth, he's really struggling also.

Woods misses 14 footer for birdie on #18, then misses the green on #1 from 175yds with an 8 iron. (Still a little off). He sticks it on #2 with a wedge, maybe now he'll start playing.

Maybe not; he's misses the green on #3 from 130yds with a wedge. Still a little amiss.

Maybe he's due for one of his famous chip in's (No, but he saves par)

6 holes left, he needs to get it back to Even par at minimum I think; i'll go quiet and see it that helps.

Nice of Jason to offer a backstop for Dustin and Rory on #8.

Very subtle....

So after i left off, Woods hit it to 20 feet on the par 3 4th and 3 putted for bogey, but then he finally started golfing his ball.

Woods birdied both par 5's after that and stuffed it to 3 feet on #6 and converted the putt. He got it back to Even but is outside the top 50 & still 7 back from the co-leaders.

Not watching the telecast, but I'm gonna guess reporter tried to frame post round question regarding Glover's recent life events without making it awkward and probably still was.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

I didn’t see the post round with Glover. Hope reporter didn’t. It’s a golf tournament. Leave the questions to that.

Damn, Matsuyama was impressive! To recover after that nasty shank, and reel off birdies like that, of course the hole out, and then leaving his putt just about an inch short from another birdie on 18. He has won here before, too.

Let’s see if he can keep rolling. Lots of firepower in the field who didn’t have great days today will be hungry to make up lost ground tomorrow and Saturday.

    • Day 107 - More pitching practice, playing around with trajectory.
    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. Did he do any of these things? • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
