What are the general thoughts about Brooks Koepka's putting grip with the extended right pointer finger? After playing around with this over the past few days it is a change I'm actually really interested in making permanently. I often feel extreme disconnect between my hands and the club while putting and this is something that really unites the two for me.

I think it's generally seen by a lot more horrible putters than good ones.

Brooks might be the only good putter I've ever seen do that.

It often leads, in poor putters especially, to more pressure being applied and a wristier, flippier putting stroke.

I think I need to get video up of my putting strokes and some pictures of my putting grip. Everything just feels terrible.

I think the main thing is I have no clue what I'm doing with my left hand (and I understand that's a bit weird when the change we are talking about is the right hand).

Like of course when I'm using my grip on a full swing the club isn't in the palm of the left hand and is instead anchored to the heel pad but what kind of grip should I be using for my putting grip? Should my left hand grip mimic my positioning on the full swing?

I just noticed that while watching Koepka win his second straight US Open! That's usually considered an "amateur" move.

However, I doubt I'll adopt it, I've found a method that really works for me.

I recently traded a gap wedge that I couldn't hit without pulling it, for an Odyssey White Hot putter #6 Long Neck. This thing is better than any putter I have ever owned. Putting is now a joy!

However, I would not recommend my method to anyone else. It's very idiosyncratic. But, I can hit my line, and I sink more putts!

Is it me or does it seems like he’s not compulsively wiping the putter blade as much as he use too?

I used to have a similar grip that my instructor then disallowed. Because I wasn’t making a stroke but rather flipping at the ball.
