Am I missing a joke or something? Zach Johnson has won two majors. Louis Oosthuizen has won one.

Yes. Someone posted in this thread that Zach Johnson had never won a major

I'm a bit late replying to these, but what happened was I mentioned how surprising it would be if Zach Johnson won his first major this week.  There are two players by that name in the field:  the one who has won two majors (who cannot win his first ever major at this event for that very reason) and the club pro with that name (who would be very surprising if he won, since club pros pretty rarely win majors these days).

Fair play! I got confused, and I also forgot about the other Zach Johnson. Apologies for accusing you of not knowing.

The (professional sports publication) article about Oosthuizen is still wrong though! Lol

What's the putting tracer that they are showing?   It's not Aimpoint?  It doesn't seem to be as accurate as Aimpoint.

It's not. And on some of them there is such a variance I almost wonder if you can actually hole a putt on both lines - the low one sometimes has almost no break while the upper one has three feet? Count me as skeptical.

I'm gonna guess Hawk-Eye, if I'm getting the name of the putt reading tech correctly, is the same company that makes the line calls in tennis? Seems ill-suited for putt reading, maybe it's a completely different system though.

I thought it was just showing the putt line for a firm putt vs slow one?

I didn't say anything to contradict that.

I'm saying that if a putt breaks 3.5' and the low line has an aim point of only half a foot, I'm skeptical that a putt hit that hard could actually go in. Or maybe that a putt hit on the high line could actually reach the hole.

For the putts that are straighter, and the lines only vary by a few inches, they're believable.

Yeah I got what you were saying. Does seem to be too much variance.

Pretty nice leaderboard. Can't really complain. The top-2 are somewhat household names, moreso Kisner, but after that you got DJ, Koepka, Fowler, Molinari, Tiger, Thomas, Scott, Simpson, Schwartzel, Rose, Rahm, ZJ and Day all within striking distance. Those are all big boy names.

I feel the odds I posted above short-changed Justin Thomas. With due respect to Woods, Thomas has a better chance to win.

Think it has to do with lots of bets on Tiger. Lets see how he does playing 28 holes on one day.
