Did some short videos of my swing.  While I noticed more than a few things that need attention, I noticed that my left arm does not fully become straight during my swings (I play righty).  I do keep my hands in good relation to the club head.  However there is a slight bend.  I did do a personal examination and note the same very slight bend when arms are at the side.  When I tried to recall keep arm very straight, it became somewhat evident that the bend is very well a symptom of my arthritis.  Should I just ignore it or make any other adjustment?  Am I perhaps reading too many how to eliminate my slice articles?  (Most of the time I have eliminated the big slice as I have also worked on the direction of the swing.)

You most likely have more important mechanics to work on than a ‘straight lead arm.’ It is not fundamental to keep the lead arm straight. There may be a fault that is causing you to bend your lead arm. Without seeing this I can’t know how much it bends but having it completely straight isn’t necessary.

It's hard to say without seeing your swing. If you have it on video you should consider starting a swing thread.

I will say that if you're not changing the length of your left arm throughout the swing by bending or straightening it at different times, it might not be an issue. That has more to do with contact issues than path, though.

Bend is 3-4º from straight. Strikes are good while not perfect.  Perhaps I am over reacting to something not that influential.

It's also possible that it's worth fixing, but something might have a higher priority to fix.  One of the best things I have learned in the past few years about lessons is the idea of priority pieces in swing improvement.

TodayI decided to ignore the bent arm issue. I focused on alignment and making sure my stroke was on a good line.  As far as my wedges went, strikes were solid and I got a bit more lift in them.  Still my less than stellar weapons, but getting better. Hybrids continued to show improvement and 7-9i hit as I was expecting them to do.  So a SOLID range day. Perhaps I need to worry less and simply have fun an confidence.
