I believe I drink quite moderately. Couple of pints daily and a large glass of wine in the evening. In the UK we are told that sniffing an empty bottle of beer once a week will kill us. Of course, this is an exaggeration, but honestly, the government are obsessed with it at the moment. Recommended government drinking limits varies throughout the world, but in the UK it is very low, and mine is about three times what big brother tells me.

So what do you drink, and how much does your government think is OK ?

Maybe a 2-4 craft beers a week, but I am going to cut back.

It depends on which state you live in. In Ohio, it's 0.08 blood alcohol level. That is if you get pulled over.

The CDC has a moderate drinking at 2 standard drinks for men, and 1 standard drink for women. A standard drink is 14 grams of pure alcohol.

12 ounces of 5% Beer
8 ounces of 7% Malt Liquor
5 ounces of 12% Wine
1.5 ounces of 40% Distilled Spirits

Binge drinking is defined of having 5 or more standard drinks with in 2 hours.

Heaving drinking is considered 15 drinks or more per week.

There really isn't national effort to promote or stigmatize excessive drinking. Honestly, it's probably a bigger problem in the US than what people think it is. Especially with the craft beer boom in the USA.

I probably have ten or fewer drinks per year. Almost never more, often a few less.

I hardly drink much at all anymore. I’ll ocassionally get on a wine kick and have it in the evening. But on average maybe one drink/month.

I haven't had a drop in 13 years now.  … I'm not against it however, drink all you want. I had to quit due to a medical condition.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

I used to always have a drink when we went out to eat or played golf. The last few years, I have cut that back to basically nothing. I would say maybe 2-3 drinks a year at most.

I am essentially a non-drinker though I will occasionally have a mixed drink. Less than 5 drinks a year in total. Probably more like one every 6 months or so. My buddies tell me that classifies as a non-drinker lol.

Depends on what's going on at the moment. It's usually pitchers of some brand of beer. I am not that finicky on brands. a $1.50 pitcher, or a $10 one. It dont matter. It all looks the same a couple hours later.

I bought a 30 pack of cans a few weeks ago. Most of them, 25+/- are still in the fridge. That said, I average about 8 glasses of draft beer per week. Usually while watching some sporting event at the sports bar.

Our group of golfing buddies have been known to drain a few pichers of beer at the 19th on a few occassions

The local sports bar right now is serving Busch Beer for $0.50 a glass, or $1.50 for a 5 glass pitcher. Toss in free, ayce popcorn, and a $3 plate of (6) jalapeno poppers, with hot dipping sauce, and I am good.

Something I do when out, I will also drink  glasses of water while drinking beer. Helps to keep me from getting too stupid on a wilder than normal night.

I don't drink any hard liquor at all. At least not since my military days.  I also don't drink more than 1, or 2 sodas a month.

Water, beer, ice tea, and juices are my beverages of choice. Probably in that order.

I have some health issues so my doctor kindly ask me to quit alcohol and many other eating stuff.
I used to drink just 2 or 3 pints of beer each week (that´s below average here in argentina). Now i´m more like 1 pint each month and i think i will cut it to 0 alcohol, just boring water.

Perhaps the environment I live is a little different to yours. I socialise with people who average in excess of 15 pints per day, and one person I know drinks more than 20. I used to know someone who drank 114 cans of Fosters in three days. Like I said, I only drink a few pints a day, and a glass of wine in the evening, and genuinely thought this was light to moderate,  but after reading your posts, it makes me look like a raving alcoholic

I drink about 2-3 “servings” a day. Usually a beer and a big glass of wine with dinner.

It’s definitely more than is recommended, but it’s one of my few vices and I really enjoy it. Beer and wine have both gotten stronger over the years. Many craft beers are over 6% and wines are usually over 13%.

i never drink golfing though, never want to.

3 or 4 beers a year or so.  I'm pretty close to a non drinker which is pretty easy for me as I don't like the feeling of being intoxicated.

I probably have 5 beers in a week on average. Mostly just one a night.

It's actually something I'm trying to cut back on - not because of the alcohol, just because of the extra calories. I tend to have a beer if one is in the house, but I don't miss it if it's not in the house.

I don't drink much.  I do like wine and made my own this year.  Maybe a bottle a week, at most.

When at a party, I will have some kind of vodka mixed drink if I am drinking at that event.

At BBQs, etc, I will have a couple beers, but almost never to drunkenness, or even buzzed.

On the course I MIGHT have 1 or 2 beers, but only if the mood strikes.

Of course these are generalizations.  Sometimes I go weeks or more without any kind of drink, and some weekends I have more than normal.  Really varies.

As for what my government says, F them and their rules.

Always remember, the same country that invented golf and called it a game, invented bag pipes and called it music.
