Divot Or No Divot

I have 2 different wedge swings, one where I open up the blade and play “the bounce” which results in me picking the ball. This goes higher, shorter and sometimes fades.  The other is when I square-up my wedge. I always take a divot with this swing, the ball flight is lower, a bit longer and tends to draw.  I use them both but I find the divot swing a bit more consistent.

I take huge divots with my wedge, but I ALWAYS replace them or, if I'm down south, fill them with sand.

Do you think rotating out of the shot early and coming over the top can cause you to hit thin, low on the face or no divot shots?

There are a ton of reasons for thin shots.
