Even though they say in a Galaxy far far away, they never claim that it's in our universe. It could be an entire different universe just in that universes galaxy far far away 😛

A universe where I am the GOAT golfer and Tiger is a 13 Handicap!

I feel like the love for Star Wars rose out of this nostalgia that wasn’t really backed by an overly consistent product.

I agree.   I watched it this morning and meh....It wasn't as terrible as the critics are making it out to be.   It wasn't great but wasn't terrible either.  I'd give it a par.

Time!

that is what Star Wars is. As in Time will tell how the entire Skywalker Saga will be perceived. Hopefully this ends this part of Star Wars and Disney will move onto different stories and Characters.

In will see Ep9 tonight and revisit in ite entirety once they are all on Disney Plus to stream. 1-9.

Sorry, just got back from ep 9. That is all I could conjure up. It was bad. Too many spoilers to go into just how off the rails poorly done this movie was and the trilogy as a whole.

Gruber liked it.

Up to 86% on RT for audience.

I’m interested in what Siracusa has to say about it. Don’t see anything in his podcasts yet. The Incomparable is the only one I checked though.

If you have seen the 1st 8 episodes you should see the last. I cannot give it my recommendation other than you should see it to decide for yourself and finish the story.

Interesting.  This is the opposite of Last Jedi.  I think with Star Wars, I value the audience response over the critics.

The more you think about it, the more it seems this new trilogy was lost in between my generation and the new generation. They just were not real sure who they were making them for. The outcome of all 3 is apparent.

Trying to do too much is not the worse crime a movie can make, but this movie actually makes the rest of the trilogy worse.

I have been very disappointed with Star Wars series.  The one I liked the best in terms of the story line is the Empire Strikes Back.  The three prequels were horrible.  Jar-Jar Binks? Seriously?  That was nothing but merchandise tie-in character.  The last two were meh.

I liked Rogue.  It's probably my second most liked Star Wars story.

Didn't watch Solo at all - not even on iTunes.

I think I will rent the Rise of Skywalker when it comes out on iTunes.

Was it more like Rogue in terms of being able to stand on its own story?

If so, I may have to watch it.

Solo was good.

Just finished watching Episode IX, and I give it a 15-ft putt for birdie. The first half of the movie felt rushed, but the back end was really good.

I took my kids to see if today and overall feel better about it.   I disagree with some of the undoing they did from 7 and 8, however seeing it a second time allowed me to stop trying to keep up and feel the proper emotional beats.   They did do way too many callbacks, and Easter eggs and the movie is overloaded.   Some characters are just wasted.  They needed more cohesion between Rian Johnson’s movie.

it has its issues, more so than the prior 2 films (7 and 8).

    • I originally started playing to relax and enjoy the outdoors more. In addition to finding a sport that wasn’t so hard on my body. Little did I know bad golf isn’t so relaxing. I was hooked pretty much from the first round. I kept playing because of the few beautiful shots that everyone has.I could hit 1000 bad shots but will only ever remember the 2 good ones lol.  It’s also nice to truly be able to get everything out of my head and only focus on golf. Kind of like a for of therapy.  Then when my son was born I hoped he would pick up the game and give us something to do when I get older. Turns out he does love it and pretty much better than I am. We play every year around Fathers Day. Never on because that would be frowned upon by the boss. She likes to have us home on Sunday. About 5 years ago I started combining my birthday, which is in May and usually on or around Mother’s Day, and Fathers Day. So I don’t get short changed in May and in June I can really ham it up. Like i told my son a few weeks ago, it’s about me having fun and watching him get better now.
    • Day 124 - Range work again today with focus on set up and alignment. Grass range this time. Travel day so not enough time to play.
    • It's been a while, but I had my first no sixes round in quite sometime.  A few years back, it was a daily occurrence, but first one in a long time.  Hopefully I'm on te way back to play better.   5 5 5 3 4 5 4 5 5 - 41    4 3 4 3 5 4 5 4 4 - 36 - 77  Started on the back 9 with a 36, played last 4 holes, 4 over.
    • The surcharge for small businesses is a real thing. A credit card company will charge a business between 1 and 5% for handling the money for them. This affects small businesses more than big businesses for at least 2 reasons.   Firstly, big business can sometimes negotiate that rate down really low. Sometimes they can even partner with a card and get the rate removed all together (See Costco's partnership with Citi Visa).  Secondly, Big businesses sometimes handle so much cash, that it's very literally a cost savings for them to having the CC company handle the money stream. Where as small business think of sending Judy over to the bank once a week as a non-expense. Even if it really is an expense, often its left off the budget sheets, so cash is seen as "free" to use.  Lastly, sometimes small businesses can fudge their tax numbers by accepting cash. Technically its illegal, but that doesn't make it uncommon. You'll see this a lot with contract work. The person may say something like "Pay me in cash, I'll give you a 10% discount." There are certainly legal and legit reasons to want your customers to pay cash. But sometimes its because they can fudge their tax numbers.
    • Coin shortage is a real thing.  Lots of people aren't paying cash at all (which leaves their coins out of circulation) while even among those who pay cash, carrying the coins around has stopped being a thing (even pre-Covid).  I used to really like it when the bill was $4.26 and I'd pay with $5.01 to get quarters back instead of 74 cents.  I rarely pay cash these days though. L.A. City courses went to a surcharge for paying by CC a year or so ago, and kept the surcharge when they reopened for Covid but also prohibited non-CC payments!  I wonder if that's allowed by the CC agreement, but I'm not sure I want to push the issue and take the risk.
