I found two amazing PDFs that I would like to share with you.

https://arxiv.org/pdf/1502.03501.pdf

In this paper, every number from 1 to 1000 is written out using each of the nine digits available and only the five basic functions (+, -, x, /, and powers), plus parentheses for grouping.

For example:

To get the number 422 using only the number 7: 422 = 7 × 7 × 7 + 77 + (7 + 7)/7.

To get the number 814 using only the number 2: 814 = 22 × (2 + 2 + 2)2 +22.

https://arxiv.org/pdf/1302.1479.pdf

In this paper, every number from 1 to 11,111 (except 10,958 in ascending order) is created using each digit from 1-9 in both ascending and descending order. For example:

2785 in ascending order = 1 + 23 × 4 × 5 × 6 + 7 + 8 + 9.

5296 in descending order = (98 × 7 + 654 × 3) × 2 × 1.

Pretty nifty, I thought.

Reminds me of the commercial where the guys on a ladder as the cleaning guy comes in and starts erasing the guys equation.

I am an engineer and not too adverse to math, but for me it has to have a purpose to get me interested. I liked differential equations where it was demonstrated that practical problems could be solved. Even freshman year physics we had the distance, velocity, and acceleration expressed through calculus concepts.

This is too nerdy for me 😃

Same here. This is way too much, and useless at the same time.
The best one was "Estadistica aplicada" or "Applied Statistics". "Physics" or "Física" was great too.

    • To those asking sarcastically if we could consider someone with 12 or 13 majors and 60 or 70 wins the GOAT someday… how’s that working out? Rory is stuck. Spieth. Koepka. JT. Collin won 2 of 8. Tiger won 7 of 11 or something at one point. Winning majors right now is hard. Tiger did it better than anyone ever all things considered.
    • I am retired, but have a turf degree. The course I used to belong to used to have guys that did not play golf doing the set up. I used to play 9 by myself a lot, and was usually the first off. When I would see tee markers set like that, I’d move them.
    • Tiger Woods Corrects Dwyane Wade After Basketball Star Calls Him the GOAT: 'I'm Not There Yet' "I'm not done," 82-time PGA Tour winner Tiger Woods repeated after retired NBA star Dwyane Wade... I do not think his comment “I’m not done” simply meant he expected he could do more in his professional career.  He neither accepted nor declined the monicker of GOAT.
    • Use your best judgment. You can have multiple home courses. But if you only play them once a month or something that’s going to be tough.
    • Nice birdie on the 17th today.  Started on the back 9.  About 500 yard tee shot over water and a fairway hazard around 250.  Got it that length but missed the hazard.  Then a 2 hybrid got me inside 50 yards of the green and a great PW put me inside 5 feet.  Drained the putt for a nice birdie
