  3. Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. Did he do any of these things? TIGER WOODS' AMATEUR VICTORIES YEAR WIN(S) 1984 10-and- under Junior World Golf Championships Boys 1985 10-and- under Junior World Golf Championships Boys 1988 Boy's 11-12 Junior World Golf Championships 1989 Boy's 13-14 Junior World Golf Championships 1990 Boy's 13-14 Junior World Golf Championships, Insurance Youth Golf Classic 1991 U.S. Junior Amateur, Boys 15–17 Junior World Golf Championships, Orange Bowl International Junior Look at some other AJGA Players of the Year. How many of these names do you recognize? A few, for sure. I assure y'all, I'm not trying to pee in your Cheerios. I just don't get what the point is. Okay. I get that, then. Thanks.
  4. Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today. I spent time on the indoor putting mat. And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver. I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
  5. Just stumbled onto the article. Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and this just caught my attention.
  6. Day 1: Spent some time hitting some balls. Working on my hips and a “soft” and straight trail arm.
  7. Slight digression on the way to my point. Back in the day there were a lot of people who said that Tiger won because of “the Tiger effect” where people pushed too hard and made mistakes trying to catch him and fell by the wayside. I thought that was BS. It was just that he was that much better than them. I don’t think anything has changed my mind on that. The hype about Miles Russell is very limited. I’ve seen nothing about him outside of some fairly hardcore golf websites. But I think that the reason those people are talking about him is because he is very good. Same as Tiger. And like I said he just broke one of Tiger’s records. That gets hardcore golf fans to pay attention.
  8. No disrespect felt, but since you did apologize you can disrespect once in the future with no guilt.
  9. So do a thousand others. 😉 Something like 14 players born in any year will have PGA Tour status for 3+ years. What drew you to this? He's not from where you live, right? Family friend?
  10. He is 15 and the charisma may come, as you said a lot will change as he grows up. I’m not saying “he is the next Tiger” or anything like that. But he has talent and maybe it happens. Everyone starts somewhere.
  11. Thanks but I regretfully cannot make any of those dates. Have fun everyone!
  12. I'm struggling to understand the point you're trying to make here, then: Tiger broke out because he was super charismatic (the fist pumps and emotion and whatnot), he was talented (winning his first major as a pro by 12), and a minority ("Cablinasian" or black or whatever route you want to go there). This is just a non-descript white kid, right? Couldn't anyone from his generation "capture the attention" if they "break out"? And wouldn't someone who isn't just a non-descript white dude actually stand a better chance of doing this? What am I missing? Does he have an interesting back-story? Is he super unique in some way?
  13. Day 2: did my Evolver drill in the mirror. No club, just did the motion. And this time I am confident I am doing it correctly.
  14. Nothing is assured and lots of talented young athletes in many sports fail to achieve greatness. as was said, injuries, growth, lots of things can come into play, And let’s let honest, over the years a few players have been branded “The Next Tiger Woods” and yet there is only 1 Tiger Woods. My initial point was if he can do a great breakout it may capture the attention of a new generation. Back in the 70s it was Secretariat in horse racing, we also had Jordan in basketball and let’s not forget Tiger for golf. Stories get people interested and I think golf needs a new story. I will pull for him and hope it works out but there are so many factors that come into play you just do not know, But I can hope.
  15. Day 114: 4/19/24 Chipping and putting practice. Tried a little hinge and hold with good results, which has never been the case during a real round. Playing tomorrow and eager to play.
  16. Yesterday
  17. I don't think I've found any of the Good Good stuff, or the guys that were once a part of it, very interesting.
  18. Day 535, April 19, 2024 30 minutes in the middle of the day while doing errands and a bunch of other things. Behind. Behind.
  19. Day 127 (19 Apr 24) - Played in the Friday Men's group today. While I shoot 82, it was a pretty solid round with 10 pars, 5 bogies and 3 doubles. I really hated the doubles - but each one was followed by a par come back, so "accepting" the number has really begun to pay off and not letting it get to me on the following hole in thinking "I have to get that stroke back".
  20. Because it's interesting. I didn't disagree with anything you said, so I'm not trying to argue anything. I saw this and thought it was a fun watch.
  21. A lot of balls later and a broken shaft. Pelvis more inward, front foot more flared to give me more flexibility to turn.
