  1. Thanks Matt! Went out and played 9 this afternoon with the feel and I loved being able to hit a Hybrid and a 3W again. I also loved not needing a different backswing for the driver as well. I haven't been able to do that for years.

  2. If he needs to keep loose, he could swing two golf clubs for the added weight, and do so within the rules.

  3. Not Allowed. Using any type of golf training or swing aid (such as an alignment rod or a weighted headcover or “donut”) or a non-conforming club to make a practice swing or in any other way that creates a potential advantage by helping the player in preparing for or making a stroke (such as help with swing plane, grip, alignment, ball position or posture).

  4. I use the Count Yogi method - walk to the first tee, tee up the ball, and hit it down the fairway. Yogi never took a practice swing.

  5. 9/26/20 Update: I decided to go with @iacas's advice and try to start the ball more on 0* and just swing straighter (or even slightly to the right like every other club). Why? I loved the pull fade, but I felt I was chasing something and fighting my natural shape (a straight draw as Erik noted). I walked 18 recently and shot a disappointing 83. Too many re-tees and drops due to driver. My approach play was quite good, but I didn't maximize my opportunities off the tee. Here were a few shots from yesterday. I pretty much did what Erik suggested: try to just hit the ball straight

  6. I don't honestly care if he did or not - I just want him to get the same treatment and accusations Tiger did

  7. Played 2 man scrambled at Ellis Golf Club in Ellis, Kansas. (Senior) Probably a little over 50 payers. We placed 1st in the 3rd flight and even won some money! Number 8 hole, from the fairway, I hit an 8 iron/hybrid, and backed the ball up just like the pro's. I also birdied #3 par 3 by hitting about 3' from the pin. Very rewarding day for me and my partner. He was hitting the long drives and I was playing the short game. Front = 39 and Back - 35 for a 74 total. Retired Old Man

  8. Kind of surprised he didn't end the interview with a karate kick, and punching himself in the belly.

  9. I fully disagree with GP. He talks about being a conservationist and a tree huger. I am not aware that they are cutting down the Giant Redwoods, Sequoias, etc. to make room for a golf course. I do not agree with bulldozing the Amazon or "Ancient" trees that cannot be replaced but that is not comparable to cutting a tree on a golf course. Also, trees in general are renewable resource. That is why we have not run out of lumber to build homes or paper to enable the endless stream of junk mail in our mail-boxes. As for cutting 80 year old trees on a course, if it is a 100 year old course th

  10. I haven't thought about it yet because I'm not a fan of the cold and in NY, winters can get very cold. However, at this point, I'm hoping I'll find the motivation to at least do some indoor mirror practice.

  11. Had a very encouraging range session today. Saw lots of progress with getting my swing on plane. It's not where I want it yet but it's light years from where I started. Some negatives I saw is that my knees are still too flexed. It's proving tougher than I thought to fix that. I'm also standing up a bit through impact.
