I don't get it. Is he tossing the club because he hit a good shot? That's what I would think with the first tweet comparing it to a MLB bat flip, but based on the second tweet, he's tossing his club because he hit a poor shot. In that case, pfft. I'll show you what a real club toss looks like.

This photo speaks of my obstinate persistence. We'd gone over a week with snow covering every course... cabin fever was setting in. Finally, North Bellingham opened their back nine with about 10% snow coverage (though it doesn't look like it from this photo). Local rule was a free drop from any snowbank, no closer to the hole. This particular hole, #16, a par 3, has a deep ravine in front of the green. What you see are snowdrifts from the winds that can howl across the course. So glad they carved a path through this winter wonderland.

Gosh, my "favorite" golf picture? I have too many, including the time I snuck up into the tower at the U.S. Open at Oakmont to get a photo of the Church Pew bunkers. One of my favorites is the background of my phone, though, and similar photos can no longer be taken:

Regardless of the effect that an equipment bifurcation would have on the golfing population, the more important question is getting overlooked here by @Bonvivant and others recently. Why do you feel that a specific distance for a tee shot is too long? It's a fact that golfers who hit the ball longer have an advantage over golfers who hit the ball shorter. This has always been true, the greats of the past like Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer were great in large part because they could hit the ball further than other players on the course. Played Memorial Park in Houston today. Shot 92 from the whites (6500, 71.1/121). Had 6 pars in the first 10 holes, but struggled a lot on the back. Push slices off the tee got me in a lot of trouble. The course is less than 2 weeks from being shut down for the Houston Open, and the fairway rough is something else. I nearly lost a ball that missed the fairway by 3 inches! Makes you appreciate what those guys can do.

Nor do I, and @Mr Puddle will yet again be serving a timeout. And if @Mr Puddle makes any comment about how he doesn't think this was bad, or indicates that he fails to see what he did wrong here, or anything of the sort, either now or before the 20 points I gave him expire in a year, he'll be gone permanently. This type of behavior is not tolerated here.

I for one don't care for the tone of the "humor" in these past few posts.
