I played Shingle Creek today, as noted by @DaveP043, this is not a demanding course off the tee by any stretch, there was lots of water around but unless you were way offline, it didn’t really come into play. Conditions were great, greens rolled very well (not too fast). There are better courses in the area for the price, but we went out before our tee time and got done in about 3.5 hours, so was nice and ther weather was 70, great day on the course with my Dad.

Why fight your natural swing? Plenty of PGA tour players (DJ, JT, etc) play a fade as their stock shot and only deviate when absolutely necessary. How do you expect random strangers on the internet to help fix your swing when we have no idea what the swing looks like? Clearly there is an issue with your swing that is not giving you the consistency and desired ball flight you want to see, I highly recommend finding an instructor or starting a swing thread on this site if you want anyone to give you any substantial advice.

On number 1, yes slightly, but because you will set up with the face aligned, it will be just a little flat or steep. The loft will be the new loft. It won’t be open or closed because you adjust the face angle to target with your set up. On 2, it depends on where the weight is the the two drivers. If the face angle is the same, and dynamic loft is the same at impact, then the CoG is what may contribute to differences in the spin. This thread went into a lot of detail.

I agree, 10 years is a good long time. I noticed in the original press release that he wasn't "cancelled", just not renewed. And his remarks don't make it sound like he's particularly upset. I've enjoyed the shows, I like Feherty, but I'm not upset that he won't be making any more of his shows.

I agree completely. Two reasons. First, when you've learned Aimpoint Express, you've learned to collect the information presented in those books, for every single golf course you'll ever play in your life. No need to buy another greens book, ever. Second reason, once you have the book, you still have to learn how to turn the arrows and numbers into an actual read. Yeah, you'll know the putt goes left, but you need to learn how to estimate how FAR left it will go. Aimpoint Express teaches you not just how to collect the data, but how to actually use the data to determine your start line.

I've been buying the Strackaline combo books. The price of yardage/green book combo is $125, and yardage only is $29-$47. A guy on Youtube was saying you should only buy the yardage book, and spend the $78-$96 you save on learning Aimpoint. Any thoughts?

Well....he made an idiotic comment to himself and the whole world heard it. He is gonna pay for it. But at the end of the day, we have all made really stupid decisions and really bad choices that didn't get broadcast on the Golf Channel. I am just guessing, but it seems pretty likely that your swing is NOT the worst anyone has seen. We all play golf, we all see other swings, and trust me, there are lots of ugly swings out there. But for anyone to give you real advice without seeing your swing is really unlikely to be useful. Have you done the covid month drills? Its a good place to start and refresh yourself.

Try not to move onto the next piece until you feel confident you have the current piece set. You’ve made a lot of progress and you want to keep that. You can dabble a bit, but keep the focus. I do the drill you we doing above. One thing it would add is to get your hands deeper into your thigh (more toward target) when the shaft is parallel to the ground, A6. Basically, more wrist hinge. And do it slower. I tend to rush and it took a long time for me to slow things down. Even now, I can speed up and not notice until I see the film.

73 (+2) today in breezy and cool conditions. Had a few bad swings but overall pretty happy with how I played. Hit 14 greens...made a couple birdies but left a couple out there. Encouraged that the SuperSpeed work I've done has been positive. Can tell the swing faster but I don't feel out of control. Only a couple bad drives but neither cost me very much...

Recently played the Marina Vallarta Golf Club in Puerto Vallarta. It was just under 100 USD for club and 18 using the Golfnow hot deals. During the round I saw one other golfer and lots of crocodiles. Had lunch afterward and food was good. Grass was like a turf mat which made it easy to control the ball. Really friendly place and I recommend.

Give yourself about 4" or so to start. As you progress, you can move it closer.

1/18/21 - found a little drill to help sync my hips & Arms. Trying to bring right elbow to right hip after little left lateral hip bump. Not sure if this is the right thing for me to be working on, but my swing feels faster. And I think there is less Over-the-top with it

We're back, and I thought I'd add a few comments on the places we played. I want to thank everyone who posted suggestions throughout the life of this thread, it was very helpful. I'll arrange these comments from least favorite to most favorite. Mission Inn - Las Colinas. Our first day of golf, the layout is pretty decent, with small greens and some really narrow driving areas. There's a bit of vertical relief as well. But the course was in so-so condition, thin grass in the fairways, and some patchy areas (repaired with plugs and still healing) on the greens. Falcon's Fire. A n
