  1. I'll give a free TST towel to the first person who names the winner (full name, not just last name) and the correct winning score in relation to par. Only one entry per person, and your first entry is the only one that counts. Entries must be posted before 7am eastern time on Thursday. This is a Players Towel, so they're quite nice.

  3. No, I’m saying what you’re seeing isn’t an accurate reflection based on the single camera angle. The K Zone system is developed based on multiple camera angles and computers sync it together to give the measurement. The technology is significantly more than just a box on your tv screen.

  4. I based mine on astrological influences, palmistry and phrenology, plus a bit of channeling. And, contrary to what you might suspect, alcohol played only a minor part.

  6. Par 5 #5 playing about 450 yards from winter tees with hard dry conditions and lots of roll. Bad (slice) drive left me about 220 out from the right rough and I hit a 4H to about 3 feet for my first ever eagle (not counting scrambles). Making the eagle putt was the second best shot. I also hit a drive 255 based on GPS and then hit another 4H about 220 over the green on the other par 5. We won't discuss the rest of the hole.

  8. I of course met Dan and interviewed him for the site and even wrote a postmortem. I took an interest because he was playing my club when he got started. I think the delusional aspect of Dan's approach cannot be overlooked. Even in the interview, which had to be only a few months before he quit he was still talking about the PGA Tour. It was clear he was never going to make it. His swing speed was hovering around a hundred (which is 10+mph from where it needed to be), and he had a short game pretty similar to mine. He was basically a decent 6 handicap and was flattening out. He was doomed.

  9. Very first hole of the day. Sharp dogleg left so I hit hybrid off the tee which gave me 187 left to the hole which was cut middle right of the green with a big ridge that goes lengthwise down the middle of the green. Grab a 6 iron, aim left side of the green playing for my normal slight fade, absolutely flush it, watching as it fades back to the middle of the green, lands right on the slope which kicked it straight right, rolls for a couple feet then it drops into the hole for an eagle!! By far the furthest I've ever holed out from and was awesome that I actually got to see it rolli

  10. In regards to your claim that the ball was a strike, yea. I’m not sure what your point is because I just typed this out in the post you quoted. The Yankees have an overhead angle on home plate. I’ve never seen the K Zone wrong before. And I’m not saying it’s not possible, but it’s highly unlikely. No offense, but I believe a computer technology developed over 20 years over a guy watching on tv.

  13. First, I am not a lawyer, just stating my understanding(s). I disagree with the lack of alcohol/drug testing as being needed in this case. I can't speak for the UK but in the US they need "Probable Cause" to conduct a sobriety test or check for drug/alcohol impairment. The officers on the scene stated form the beginning they saw no evidence of impairment which is why the tests were not done. That is the law here and I do not see this as him getting preferential treatment.

  14. Here’s how parallax works: So basically because the camera angle is from Viewpoint B, the ball appears more to the left than it actually is.

  16. "Low level?" Jeez. After 15 years in the states, whenever I'm back home in the UK I have to remind myself that the speed limit isn't like the serving suggestion on a frozen food product. They seem to actually mean it over there. 87 in a 45? Is there enough space on a UK licence to write down all the points? *There are plenty of states in the US, too, where that speed = Misdemeanor reckless driving. He's lucky the cops decided they didn't have the evidence to throw the book at him. Another strange feature of some US states (I don't know about California), the cop has to actually clock you,

  19. Tiger Woods' crash was caused by excessive speed, LA sheriffs set to The LA County Sheriff’s Office is expected to announce Wednesday that Tiger Woods... The points are my thoughts... 1. He was going way too fast 2. He should have been tested for a DUI ( I expect the cops think that he was in such a bad way that any investigation was not really going to do any thing of worth) 3.He’s amazingly lucky to be alive 4. I hope he recovers 5. and he doesn’t drive at almost double the speed limit again. 6. In the UK he would certainly have been drin

Weak dogleg left and right with an elevated teeshot to a wide fairway. OB left and a long green that runs away from you with a bunker guarding the front right. Wide play area, so a quite easy opening hole. Hole 2 (index 17) 172/137 par 3. A short par 3 with an elevated teeshot (60 feet higher than the green) to a round green with trouble left, right and long. Can be a tric

  28. Yep. The opportunity to play with two, albeit very different, legends of the game and to play at Augusta are what I’d pick. I can afford to buy my own golf clubs and beer. Plus, I would rather play golf then watch golf regardless of where it is…

  30. Yup, the T-2. It comes in a 71” option that makes it one of the few power racks that fit in my basement.

  31. Not this guy 😃 Bought an Olympic barbell set and a power rack to go with my old bench and dumbbells. Still need to get a cable pull down attachment, but it’s out of stock. I’ll probably pick up a rack for the plates because stacking them up on the floor is going to get old fast. I might even get a mat for the floor and put some hooks on the wall to hang my resistance bands. There’s a stability ball brand new in the box buried behind the tote bag. The sky’s the limit - well actually my low ceiling is, it’s 81”. My entire basement smells like industrial rubber right now.

  32. I've looked at the videos a few times now. I'd work on: Strengthening that left hand grip. The right hand is fine. Because it's weak, you palmar flex and roll to take it away. I'd work on learning how to hinge the club up properly in front of you. Keep the width on the backswing (do some of the COVID practice drills that encourage wide right elbows, high hands).

  34. Rare combo of winter tees and hard, dry course led to my first eagle today. Does it still count coming on winter tees? #5 on Forrest E Everhart Memorial Golf Course. Scorecard claims 500 yards, but I bet it was about 450.

  36. Loudspeaker. So everyone in the park would know you let a strike go by. And yes, a home plate umpire would still be needed. Other than dusting off the plate you'll need someone to call sliding Mariners safe. On that note, baserunners should be careful to not slide into home plate with feet in the air... could knock that little graphic box askew.

  37. I feel it when I am on the course, line up for a shot...and realize I am playing in fear of the 100 yard slice I used to have that have not had in years. When I miss now it is a reasonable miss. Or when I land in an awkward spot where say...I have to go over a small pond or bunker to a short side green and think "I have to get the ball in the air to get over the hazard and stop on or near the green" and realize...I have that in my bag. I no longer fear the mis-hit or anticipate the horrific shot that had me a huge handicap but yeah...sometimes I forget that yes, I can
