  1. I feel like the Jon Rahm news has overshadowed this so I’m giving it its own thread. Yesterday’s broadcast of the WUSO was one of the best golf viewing experiences I’ve ever had, there were NO ADS. Yes, towards the end there were USGA promotions, but overall the broadcast even outdid The Masters. It was great being able to see most shots of the leaders although I think some shots were missed. To boot, I actually found the announcing to be pleasant as well. I’m not expecting the PGA Tour to follow suit, but I’ve long since stopped watching regular events, preferring the quic

  3. Some people with no scientific background have no faith in the notion of the earth being spherical either. Their lack of faith is inconsequential to the reality of the situation. On what basis does an average Joe question what the manufacturers have produced? No "faith"? Meaning a belief in something that there is no scientific or rational basis for. Sorry, I think I'm in the camp of the scientists. Without straying into the grey area of political discussion, I would think that a lot of pro golfers follow the example of a lot of people that perhaps you or I wouldn't. Nicklaus m

  4. Jon Rahm withdraws from the Memorial Tournament after testing positive for COVID-19 PGA TOUR Statement regarding Jon Rahm On the evening Monday, May 31, the PGA TOUR notified Jon Rahm that he was subject to contact-tracing protocols, as he had come in close contact with a person who... Pretty wild situation.

  5. He’s not. It’s not mental. He’s got COVID-19. Physically has it. Glad you came to your senses.

  6. I think a player’s history should only be relevant in that subsequent disciplinary action would be more severe. First offense should be x amount of games, second offense y amount, and so forth. A player shouldn’t be given leniency for a dirty play just because he’s not a dirty player. A dirty play is a dirty play.

  7. He can’t. He’s injured and incapable of playing golf today. Oh wait…he’s fine. He’s not allowed to play because the rules forbid someone to compete who’s Covid-19 positive. Oh well…it’s not like he had a chance to win anyway.

  8. Billy he’s just disagreeing with you. As I am. Like I said, we’ve done it here extensively. Erik disagrees with me, I with him from time to time…it’s what makes discussions. However, you tend to beat dead horses so he just adds a little sauce to get through….🙂

  9. Who are your top 10 players all time, in order?

  10. Doesn’t matter. A player with a six stroke lead physically capable to play isn’t playing in the final round. I don’t see him breaking a rule. An unfortunate occurrence happened where he can’t play. Six strokes is six strokes.

  12. I think you’re drastically overestimating the influence Nicklaus has on the modern Tour player. Some facts as we know them. Rahm received the first dose on-site Monday. (He was probably already infected.) Over 50% of PGA Tour players are vaccinated. (It can be tough since they travel so much to schedule it.) Many players have demanded their caddies get vaccinated.

  13. I'll give you my honest opinion. Stop complicating your 30 year journey to a handicap of 19 by misunderstanding swing theories and doing it yourself. You don't have to worry about what Brooks Koepka or Matt Kuchar do. You need to find an instructor who can help you achieve the best technique that works with your individual body's capabilities and what your are prepared to do on the mental side and the work side of things. There are many golfers who have posted here who seem to have got Adam Scott and Rory McIlroys swings down to an exact replica, yet they still struggle Can't sa

  14. There’s a significant gap between enforcing rules for player safety and making the league no body checking. The object isn’t to make the sport injury-free, which is impossible, but to remove unnecessary danger to players from non-hockey plays.

  16. Hello and welcome to TST. You basically mentioned feels which can be a difficult road to navigate. Feel ain’t real. We all know this. When you say you’ve ‘tried every swing’ was this done with video and instruction? It’s good you’ve found something that has given you good results. But do you really know you’re doing what you think you’re doing or are you just saying your feels in XYZ have helped you? Not trying to be cynical just want to make sure we’re on the same page. Have you compared your ‘arm swing’ to your ‘body swing’ with video?

  17. Don’t forget a whole bunch of vaccinated NY Yankees got covid. The strength of the vaccine is it pretty much guarantees you won’t die and you’ll be a lot less sick.

  18. Today was a good day: my first 4 birdies day ever! I had managed 3 birdies many times before (maybe 12 or 15 times), but never 4. And that included two new ones on the spreadsheet: #13 and #15. I also chipped in on #12 and had a chip left (to close range for a 3ft birdie putt) on the par 5 #17. A pretty good back nine at 35 (par 36), after rinsing a ball on the long par 3 #11 for double and getting into a greenside bunker on #18 with a bogey finish. That was also just 11 putts on the back 9 in total. After a relatively poor 40 on the front (par 34), it was still a good (for me) 75. I'l

  21. The best approach is to send in a full swing video, face on and down-the-line, and in detail explain what your misses are. Example: my mid iron shots tend to over draw and I sometimes hit them heavy. The Evolvr instructor will send back an analysis and identify a priority piece for you to work on. I sometimes respond asking a question about the drill or piece. I then work on the piece for at least a couple of weeks. If the instructor asks me to send back a video of the drill, I do that. But I don’t send in another full swing of that iron swing until I feel I’ve made progress. I may send i

  23. Seems golf, like most others, has learned nothing. Before a vaccine many golfers tested positive including rather fat out of shape senior players. None died and most had no symptoms. I remember in rather funereal tone someone on tv was saying how horrible Tony Finau had corona. They said he felt bad for 2 weeks, was nauseaous, weak, and coughing. It hit me then. They are perfectly describing the common cold. There is zero reason Rahm couldnt play today. He could play alone, He could play with someone vaccinated, he could play with me and i would be totally
