    • This is true, but there are more people with realistic expectations about their ability than there are Tour pro wannabes. The ones that play for some time tend to know their games and settle in to what they can do. Your fisherman comments reminded me of this sign hanging above the main entrance to Bass Pro: ”Welcome Hunters, Fisherman and other Liars”
    • Escaped our minds unfortunately. I think we were both annoyed after making bogey. You won't be surprised that I 3 putted from ~25 feet after roping a 7 iron into that green.
    • I've been Playing Golf for: 1 Week
My current handicap index or average score is: N/A.  I've only played a 9 hole course and shot a 42.
My typical ball flight is: High
The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Right now I'm really trying to focus on a good ball strike with my irons.  I don't worry so much about drivers just yet, I'd like to establish a solid mid and short game first.  Most of my iron shots are straight, with the occasional pull, and every now and then I'll hit a good hook shot. • Eagerly awaiting the pics! I fully expect Payne Stewart poses on the 18th green.
    • What people say and what people really feel are not mutually inclusive.  I would agree that many people can find comfort at their level of play, but not to the extent that they would not want to do better. Somewhat akin to Fishermen and Real Estate Buyers.  Otherwise, why the frustration?  "Trust everyone, but cut the cards"
