  1. ACL Reconstruction on weight bearing leg

Hey, 2 time ACL reconstruction on my load bearing leg. My surgeon recommended the same no golf for about a 6 - 7 months post surgery. It takes that long for the graft to fully vascularize and for you to redevelop the muscles surrounding the knee. For myself there was significant atrophy in the quad and surrounding muscles post surgery. It took 6 months + of rehab to get the muscle back. To this day there is still a small but visible difference in the definition and tone of my quad muscles. Hope this helps.
  2. That works. Do you have a time line for when it will be available for order directly from you guys?
  3. This book looks fantastic! What are the chances this will be available on amazon as a ebook or regular paper back, since I missed the indiegogo campaign?
  4. Can Online Golf Lessons Help your Game?

Yeah I signed up last week as well. Just after the first lesson I can feel a difference in my ball contact and have noticed a difference in my distance. Obviously it's going to take time for this to be my normal but the difference between me looking at my swing and someone who knows what they are doing looking at my swing is huge. I'm excited to get my next video up and see if I've made any improvement.
  5. The weather in Winnipeg this morning was -20 C with a north wind making it feel like -35 C. There will be no golf for me until late April with the amount of snow on the ground. We at least have lots of simulators up here but it's not the same.
  6. Wednesday Blues

Be grateful you can golf at all in March. I woke up to -20 C with a north wind making it feel like -35 C. I won't be golfing until late April at the earliest with the amount of snow on the ground :( I will be hitting some balls at the simulator tomorrow but it's really not the same.
  7. Kikkor shoes?

I have a pair of these Kikkor shoes . I love the casual look, they are the most comfortable golf shoes I have owned, the price is excellent. They don't have removable spikes but after two seasons and only walking I haven't noticed any significant wear. I would definitely recommend Kikkor.
  8. Mid Level Balls

I have been testing out the Srixon Qstars and the Bridgestone e6 both feel great off the putter and both have been handling fairly well around the green. I haven't yet had a chance to play a full round with either yet, just some practice sessions.
  9. 2012 Masters Prediction Contest

    Rory McILroy - 275 Tiger Woods - 276 Hunter Mahan - 280
  10. Fix your ball mark +1

Hehe this made me laugh out loud.
  11. Orthopedic knee brace

This past January I had acl reconstructive surgery on my knee, my physiotherapist has said I can play golf but that I should probably wear my knee brace. The knee brace is this one, my question is, is it this against the rules to play with it on? Does it fall under the equipment rules? I was hoping to be able to play with it on and still record my rounds for handicap calculations, any information would be much appreciated. Thanks
  12. Going through withdrawal

Yeah winter up here in Canada has been exceptional, if the weather holds I think the courses may be open by early April which is unheard of up here. The worst part for me...I can't play until July no thanks to recovering from ACL reconstruction and the doc telling me I can't make a swing until at least the 6 month mark. It's torture because all I can think about is golf. I guess I will be spending May and June on the putting green.
  13. Tipping the Beer Cart girl

Pretty sure that is a Quebec thing, never heard anyone complaining about it in Manitoba.
