  1. The idea? It's just an anatomical anomaly found in my swing? I don't consciously do it... It just happens. I've tried to actively cup my wrist at address (middle image), and maintain that cup throughout the swing. But have found during the loading of the shaft - into the transition from A4 to A4++++ it just happens to palmar flex or bowe (right image). For the most part I can get away with it, but when my tempo gets too quick, my longer irons and fairways tend to come off at a lower trajectory than I'd like to see. Working with the 5SK/Evolvr guys, the swing pattern t
  2. Bah! Humbug! Ok... So lets just keep doing it the way it is... Which is a cluster.
  3. Moving the handle forward, will help with a positive path - and tend to open the face a few degrees. Whereas moving the handle back will have the opposite effect. If you're using a 7i, place the ball just forward of center, and place your hands/handle forward near the left hamstring. Here is an image from Brian Manzella (TGM guru). I like what he does with the setup... Ultimately, the goal should be to have a flat left wrist at impact, with a firm left side like this:
  4. Rule 16: The Putting Green http://www.usga.org/Rule-Books/Rules-of-Golf/Rule-16/ 16-1 c. Repair of Hole Plugs, Ball Marks and Other Damage The player may repair an old hole plug or damage to the putting green caused by the impact of a ball, whether or not the player’s ball lies on the putting green. If a ball or ball-marker is accidentally moved in the process of the repair, the ball or ball-marker must be replaced. There is no penalty, provided the movement of the ball or ball-marker is directly attributable to the specific act of repairing an old hole p
  5. When reading through the Rules Forum, there are a number of great threads and I've learned many rules by reading through the threads.... Unfortunately one thing that I find is that there is no clear and concise way to summarize what the finding/decision/ruling is for the thread that I'm reading. A thread could be 1 page, or it could be 30+pages... But the user has to read through any number of pages to find the 'meat' of the decision/ruling in question by the OP... Or follow-on conversations by the various users. For instance, this thread: http://thesandtrap.com/t/69514/ma
  6. To be clear, the damage was done before we hit our balls onto the green. From ~ 100yds out with our wedges, we couldn't see that a jackwagon had taken his horse across the green. But when we reached the green, it was clear as day what had occurred. Huge hoof prints in the surface of the green from one side to the other... And crossing right by the hole.
  7. Me too. On an unrelated note to the full-swing, but talking about handle positions... The thing that really took me awhile getting comfortable with was found in the pitching motion. Moving the handle back to my mid section/belt buckle really threw me for a loop. Wow did that feel weird at first. I had come so comfortable with a forward shaft lean on full shots, and even bump and run chips... That trying to practice the pitching motion with the handle centered really caused some issues with comfort. But once I trusted putting the shaft back to the middle... To encourage
  8. Good to see you back. Amateur status - when you are an elite player is a joke. I don't know how anyone can monitor these kids and know if they are being paid or not... There was another amateur not long ago that had patches for various ties back to her home country... Like resort, etc, etc. First, why would she wear those patches for a random hotel or resort in Asia? I'll give you an answer... I'm pretty sure her parents or someone in their family are being paid - and influencing said amateur to wear them. Why else would a kid care to wear a patch that has nothing to do with t
  9. I played a course here in Socal a few years back (Hidden Valley), and some moron was riding their horse along side a trail that was near one of the holes. And in doing so, they detoured off the trail - and the horse trotted across the green. The end result was 3" deep hoof prints in the green... When we reached the green, and saw the damage, we were pretty pissed as it did a number on the playability of the green. I did my best, as did the rest of our foursome, to repair the hoof marks that went through our putting lines... But the result was irreperable damage in many areas - at least
  10. I was hitting it very well here on Sunday at the range... My grip felt nice and sound. I could feel the shaft loading really well, and just made nice clean contact and shallow divots for the session. It felt damn good. Probably the best I've hit the ball in I don't know how long? I have to give a little shout out to the local pro here at the Costa Mesa range. On Saturday, I was hitting balls, and the pro came over and was chatting with me while I was hitting balls. And I'd hit like 4 or 5 good to great shots, followed by a shank, or a hook. It was pretty bad. My bad shots we
  11. The club pro where I practice has the SLDR and I hit it a few times. I like the head at address... Much cleaner than the R1. But the pro had the club setup with a FADE bias, and x-stiff shaft, and the two shots I hit were push fades, aka - banana slice. With any driver, I'd recommend a professional fitting on Trackman - outdoors, where you can try different shafts. I won't buy another driver unless the fitting is done outdoors.
  12. Ok, this is constructive. Finally. Nice review by the way Zeph. Thank you for putting an end to the mystery. Sounds like terrible swing advice at impact.
  13. I agree the first video is disingenuous. Even the second video has what appears to be an abbreviated back swing and calling it TGM which is pretty inaccurate at best. But... He did come back with what I'd call some pieces of meat in his last response. And while the meat may not have been cooked to your liking. There was some meat in the post. I'm not sure if the majority read it though because most of you have already wrote the guy off as a snake oil salesman.
  14. I'll make a video of what not to wear on the golf course for you.
  15. I'm not talking about anyone deleting his post. Just saying... Read his last post as if it was his first post. While I don't agree with some of his conclusions with TGM within the post, his post wasn't terrible (although very long). So my statement was if you didn't read one of his post. But read his last, what was wrong with it? Did he lie in that last post? If so where? I thought he did a decent job of at least trying to show some 'meat' in his last post. So I dunno why the hate if you read the last post and CTRL + F4 all his other post on the board? I think his swing comparison was sil
  16. I'm guessing you're AoA is too steep and not swinging up. Your launch should be higher. Much higher.
  17. I read his last post and didn't find anything wrong with it. I mean if you delete all his other post. And just read his last... Was he lying?
  18. Is this a joke post? Or legit?
  19. Bro. Do you even play golf bro?
  20. So.... You played once in a month. And shot over 73. Nice work.
  21. That driver is the BOMB. I average 230 though... Man I suck!
  22. The hat is huge! If I don't pull it down it looks like I'm wearing a box on my head.
  23. LOL Ok. The Flat bill hat just arrived. I've gotta admit, it looks dorky! Hahahha I don't think I can wear this?! The hat is huge on my smallish melon.
  24. Hat should ship today. Pics will be posted when it arrives!
