  1. I consider myself a good putter and I use a mallet style putter. I think it's good to try different putters until you find one that you feel good lining up your aim. Also finding one that feels good with the ball you use. Some putter faces are for harder balls and some work better with softer balls and I'm talking about the covers of the balls, not the core. I have found I like the Titleist prov1 and a plain face putter feels the best to me. I think the putters with the grooved faces work well with harder balls. Also, the weight of the putter is something I look at as well as the length. I hav
  2. And yea I know this is an old thread. So
  3. I'm thinking about getting some metal spikes. I think PIN makes metal spikes although they look like plastic. I'm lucky enough to own more than a couple of pairs of golf shoes so maybe I'll set up a pair with metal. They are always nice when standing on hardpan or softpan. I slipped a little yesterday standing on a bare spot that was a little soft.
  4. That's what I thought, you don't vote. So you know, Hillary will win and we are all screwed. So keep sitting on the sidelines pretending your too smart to be part of the system. I blame people like you for allowing losers like Obama to be President. Your such a snob
  5. I noticed a difference in distance. When the ground is dry I use prov1x balls because of the spin and short game. That said my theory is I don't have the swing speed to compress the provs and there's more side spin therefore less distance overall. So when it's wet which it has been in Cincinnati all summer, I use the callaway chrome soft. All I can say is they have not invented the perfect ball for me yet.
  6. Sounds like you just want a democrat in the office. Do you think anyone has a chance to beat Hillary, backed by virtually all blacks, Hispanics, union members and half the women in this country. Before Obama was elected in his first speech at the Democratic Convention for Clinton, he gave a speech about how Democrats and Republicans, black and white, should come together. It was bullshit and how have those lies worked out? These guys will say whatever it takes to win. it's politics. So do YOU think the left is the way to go or do YOU think the right is the way to go? If you think the right is
  7. I only read the first page and everyone was calling DT names like a loon, idiot, loose nut. It just goes to show what kind of morons we have voting out there. This guy has major degrees and if you look at his family, he has done an amazing job raising these great human beings. Should golf kick DT out? If they do they are as stupid as the clowns on the first page. It looks like they will but they are only shooting themselves in the foot. DT is telling the truth but the left or the right can't handle that. I'm amazed at how many people will attack this guy and say what an idiot he is. If he's
  8. I'll be 60 this year and have noticed a little distance loss over the last couple of years. started playing the chrome because it didn't check up unexpectedly when chipping. They quit making those so I tried the chrome soft. I got my distance back plus a little extra. With irons I really loved the extra distance and have had to recalibrate in my head the extra distance. With the driver I am not noticing much extra D. Got a Ping G30 and it is awesome with direction and I'm hitting the ball great. It does not feel softer than a Prov1 like I have been reading. But it doesn't feel hard either like
  9. I am hitting the ball longer than I did with the prov1x. I see where they started out at $36 doz. and now most places are charging a little more. I'm a single digit hdcp that does not hit the ball long. These balls go straight and have good control. They chip and putt nicely and stop on greens
  10. Cooke, I'm interested in these irons and would like to know your 7 iron distance normally , which shaft you picked and the flex and what you think as far as control and feel of that shaft. Thanks
  11. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Your 19 for cryin out loud. as long as your having fun. If you really want to play better though, find people to play with that are better than you and make it your goal to beat the hell out of them on the course. You gotta have something to prove man. And you'll be surprised how playing for money will make you focus and play better. If that's not your cup of tea, then just have fun and enjoy the ability to be under par at any point.
  12. Hi I'm chop. I'm a short hitting 4hdcper and I'm 57. 5 foot 9 inches 155 lbs. I'm looking forward to reading stuff on here. I hope there's a place for short hitters to talk about getting the most out of their games. I have alot to offer the short knocker. I played last saturday for the first time since Oct. 2012. Shot even par. no roll so it was great for a short knocker like me. Cheers
