  1. There is a review on the main site here. Scroll down and read the reviews. I have owned a couple different models and liked them both alot. The review is for the mallet style, and I had blade styles, so that might be part of it. Anyway, please take Mr. Erik J. Barzeski's comments with a grain of salt. Some just can't handle the Heavy stick. I would still be gaming the A2-m blade if I hadn't sprung for my Scotty. If you'd like to write your own review, there is one for sale in the marketplace here.
  2. I agree... Attachment 1952 Attachment 1953
  3. If you're looking for a little more distance while promoting a draw I would reccommend looking at the Burner line. There are 2 for sale in the marketplace right now.
  4. Once on a par three my group was getting into our carts and a ball bounced right off the top. This was on hole #2, and they hit into us on the opening par 5, while we were waiting for the group ahead. After putting my putter and wedge away I started walking up the hill in their direction and they just took off. I still have no idea where they went, there is nothing but cherry orchards around that course. When I saw them grabbing their bags and taking off I stopped and turned around, and there is my brother in law right behind me, still holding his putter, except now it looks like a weapon. I'm 6'4"-6'5" and bench alot more than I weigh... and he makes me look tiny. I was just going to talk to them, honestly... I feel kinda bad being taken for a violent person... We still laugh about that everytime we play that hole, how it must have looked, even though it was years ago. Still can't imagine where they went....
  5. Thats what I was thinking. lol

    Rivalrys

Growwing up I loved watching Detroit Redwings vs. Colorado Avalanche.... seemed to take twice as long because of all the fights.
  7. Yeah, I guess you're right. I still think he did the right thing not taking advatage of someones stupidity, or not caring.
  8. Thats like saying if you found someones wallet you should keep it because its their fault for dropping it... To the OP, you don't owe us any explanation or anything, but its cool to see someone do the right thing, even though they didn't have to.
  9. They have this diagram on the PX site. Carry distance looks the same, and the PX flighted I hit in the simulator vs my rifles went the same yardage... but who knows with a simulator...
  10. Sounds like you knew how much it was worth before you bought it even though it didn't technically have a tag on it. Plus you had another thread where you looked these bags up online before you bought one. Here is a link to that... And here is your thread... So it sounds like you scamed Wal-Mart... congrats...
  11. On the regular site there are a couple of good reviews. Here is one for the MX-700, and here is one for the MP-600 .
  12. I looked around a little on E-bay... I'm sure you could find alot of simmilar, but here are a few in your price range. Callaway Diablo, Callaway 2008 X, Nike Sasquatch Sumo2, Callaway Diablo stiff flex, Adams rpm lp, Just look around a little before you decide. The tour edge you're looking at is a pretty decent club imo, but I would still look around.
  13. That was a good buy, imo. I was going to suggest buying a better grade, but used, club, so I'm glad you did. Should work for the majority of shots within 100 yds. Now with the 3 wood... how much are you looking to spend? Will you be using this 3 wood off the tee at all, or just from the deck? Also, I noticed that your bag contains a 3 iron and a 4 hybrid, which are basically the same yardage... with the 3 wood being the only club between that and your driver. Have you considered an easier to hit 4 wood? Or are you planning to add a 5 wood or 2 or 3 hybrid later on? Give a little more info and we can help more.
  14. I disagree with the more consistent guy being a better partner, at least for me. My own game is very consistent, within a couple strokes every round. An 8/12/15 guy is alot more streaky, prolly match to match, but also hole to hole. If he plays to the same hcp as me, but is far less consistent, I would guess that while I'm making strait pars, hes making bogey and birdie. In best ball I would carry him on his bogey holes, and on his hot streaks he would through a couple birds my way.
  15. It seems like there is a thread like this at least once a week.... Here is a link to a couple of these threads merged together. I advocate blades early on in golf, and I don't no about the "best" but I like the soft feel of my Cleveland CG1 black pearls.
  16. I would go with the teacher. I'm guessing Golf Smith just went off measurements? A fitting where you are hitting real balls off real grass while your club smith goes through each club with you (dynamic fitting) is the real deal...
  17. If one is good and two is better and, as you say, three is better yet.... then I want FOUR! Accually, one is fine.... your anticap isn't even that usefull to know. It will help you see if your consistent (like you don't know) and may help choose the best scramble partner for you... thats about it. The 3rd is totally useless, imo.
  18. I've seen a neighbor burn stripes into her yard. She had one of those push spreaders and let it overlap too much. She tried to put extra water on it when she noticed, but it was a little out of reach at that point. You would think a grounds crew would have this down, though. I'll bet somebody got reamed.
  19. My thoughts exactly...
  20. I would keep the 3 wood. Hybrids just aren't as consistent off the tee for me. If you ever tee off with something other than driver, on tight holes or when your big stick needs a timeout, I would reccomend keeping the 3 wood. The last 2 rounds I played my 3+ over my driver 24 out of 28 holes. I may even drop the driver for a little while.

    Rivalrys

Packers vs. Bears. This rivalry has been going for generations. There is nothing like being in Lambeau for a Packers/ Bear game on the frozen tundra. When the Bears are in town every other song on the local radio is "The Bears still Suck" and half the cars in Wisconsin are flying Packer flags, if not peronalized plates. How can any other rivalry compete with a shirtless, drunken Cheesehead in late November? Even the girls in Lambeau go shirtless in the snow. Its magical...
  22. I would go back and talk to the guy who made out your card and tell him what happened. Its not normal at all. Call the pro and elt him know how disappointed you were. In this economy a golf course should try to keep you very happy, or risk you playing most of your golf elsewhere.
  23. Lol, sorry to hear about your bad luck. Unfourtunately, the only thing that makes some people "pros" is the fact someone is dumb enough to pay them. The PGA "pro" at the Dicks here isn't very good at working on clubs. He regripped a wedge for me and let the tape fold up in the back, so it had a weird line on the underside. I wanted to change the swingweight of my driver and he pulled out the lead tape... lol The other pro at my local Dick's is very, very good. He has beenn a clubmaker most of his life...grew up doing it. I'm not quite sure why he is working at Dick's, but he is really good. I trust him to do it all.
  24. My 3+wood is great off the tee when the driver needs a time out.
  25. If you liked your previous Titleist driver then you should give the 909 series a try. Also try out the drivers from taylormade. Try the R7 limited, the Burner, and both the R9's. Ping is comming out with the G15 line pretty soon, too.
