  1. Dragged Over Concrete. Bogey. Overly long Mel Gibson / Vince Vaughn flick that has one or two extremely gory moments. Not a horrible movie, but there’s a lot of time spent listening to the two leads while they sit in a car on a stakeout.

I hope the season can be salvaged. My team makes the playoffs only every twelve or fifteen years, so you have to grasp the opportunities when they arrive

Man, I would have loved to have been at the Caps / Rangers game last night.
  4. I’ve found that the screening agents at whatever airport I go through are more worried about the can or two of aerosol bug spray than the actual contents of my golf bag. I usually shove as much crap as I can into my golf bag before traveling. As stated above, if it’s not over 50 pounds I’ve found they don’t have too many issues
  5. It took me a few tries to get through the pilot, but eight episodes in I’m hooked. Like bad.

After the All Star stuff tonight there was an hour long documentary (or Masterson application video, probably) on the amount of damage done to Connor McDavids knee in the final game of last season. I'm not sure how you'd watch it in the States since it isn't on YouTube yet, but wow, just wow. The Oilers picked up the rumored four million dollar tab for his rehab, and even still it's hard to believe he skated on opening day, let alone the preseason. I already had a lot of respect for the guy, but after watching this it's shot through the roof now.
  7. I watched a trio of movies over the last few days, starting with: Once Upon A TIme In Hollywood. Par. It's definitely Tarantino, but there wasn't the eight minute monologues this time around. Kind of slow and plodding, but sweet mother of Jebus what an ending! 1917. Birdie. I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this twenty minutes in. By the end I was really impressed. I'll be watching this again in the future. Terminator: Dark Fate. Par. I could care less that this messed with the canon of some of the previous films, because to me, I haven't liked most of them to be honest. Not bad action flick, I thought Linda Hamilton was really good in her role.
  8. Back in the day my dad would have given me a good ole smack upside the head if I did that.
  9. My father in law, who still dabbles in used car sales despite being 'retired', bought a new Honda Ridgeline two years ago. He usually trades off his new vehicles after a year or so but he's quite fond of this one. I've had a few chances to drive it myself and I have to say I've been impressed. There's even a cubby in the box that's waterproof that perfectly holds a set of clubs with a little extra space for a pair of shoes.
  10. I was in the unfinished (actually, still to this day, except there's a few more scraps of carpet down there) basement of my parents house, getting all jacked up with my York (the cheap Canadian equivalent to Weider) weight set. As a thirteen year old, my only experiences with golf was watching Caddyshack a few times on VHS.
  11. Man, I really enjoyed the finale of the Mandalorian. I think I'm going to watch it again.
  12. I watched it today and wasn't blown away by any part of it, but I wasn't totally disappointed either. Let's hope the Skywalker saga is put on the shelf for a while, and maybe that time will give somebody the opportunity to write a more consistent story. There's a whole galaxy of tales to be told, and to be honest I've liked the Mandalorian more than any of the last trilogy. I just couldn't get invested in any of the new characters that much.
  13. Heh, after watching episode 4 I had to jump back to the menu to make sure I didn't mess up and miss an episode somewhere. I finished season 2 of Lost In Space yesterday. If you enjoyed the first, this one should be right up your alley.
  14. The Secretary General lady absolutely cracks me up. Especially in the first episode when she talks about Holden keeping it in his pants. That was hilarious and brilliant. I really enjoy this show, but after four seasons I'm itching for some of the larger overall plot arcs to come to fruition.
  15. I really liked the Looking Glass and Hooded Justice episodes, but the rest of the time the series was just a little off for me.
  16. Yeah, that was a bizarre nine episode series, that's for sure. I still can't decide if I actually liked it or not.
  17. Well, the ending of last weeks episode was somewhat, unexpected. And gory.
  18. Your review of Dark Fate sums up exactly how I feel about the Irishman.
  19. I’ve been kind of not overly thrilled by this show so far, but I thought episode five was well done. Great job by Tim Blake Nelson. I want more squid, tho.
  20. It actually came out a day early, thanks Amazon! And I've only had to work once in the last three days so that helped.
  21. I finished The Man In The High Castle yesterday. The internetz doesn't like the ending, but it suits me fine.
  22. Me personally, I’m really looking forward to a rewatch of Gargoyles.
  23. I’m going to wait a month or two. They’re supposed to be doing weekly installments of their new shows, so I’ll wait a bit to satisfy my binge urge. The Mandalorian looks awesome.

Any questions I had about McDavid were erased tonight. https://www.nhl.com/video/mcdavid-pots-second-of-the-game/t-310493168/c-70230903 Great victory over the Ducks tonight. I don't hate Anaheim as much now that Bieksa, Kesler and Perry aren't in the lineup, but Getzlaf is still a highly skilled cheapshotting goon. He's not a happy camper, though. There was a camera shot of him during tonight's game where he was on the bench and looked, well, dejected. Having Dallas Eakins as a coach will do that to you.
  25. K-2S0 is possibly my favorite droid in the SW universe. I wasn't sure if I'd like R1 due to the lack of Jedi, but I ended up really enjoying it. I've spent a rainy afternoon or six watching this on cable.
