    My Swing (sungho_kr)

ahh I'm on church missions right now and won't be able to hit any balls for 3 months until I return to the states, any help would be appreciated in terms of swing thoughts, mechanics. I'm just working on creating more width in my takeway keeping my left shoulder from raising flat.

    My Swing (sungho_kr)

Alright Guys here it is: A few things to keep in mind before analyzing -the camera is a hair inside down the line -the clubs I'm using are Titleist DCI's (not my clubs and not my specs) -swinging about 70-80% with a slower tempo

    The Official "Comeback" thread

mines a bit different, but i see the similarities.... i plan on keeping everyone updated - almost like a multiblog or a megablog where many of us can keep an update or a tab on the progress Also it's themed as a comeback, as for me, I was shooting mid 70's from the tips in high school but now as a junior in college and leaving the game for 3 years and about 60lbs lighter, i thought it would be cool one of the things I plan on doing is posting my swing on this thread as it evolves or changes a little by little, just part of the progress

    The Official "Comeback" thread

So I decided I want to make a thread for all of those who have golf oriented "resolutions" for this coming year. Thought it would be great, necessarily doesn't have to be a comeback but hopefully we can gain some insight and be able support each other as a community. Please no negativity and abusive criticism. For my comeback, I am deciding to train with a top 50 golf instructor so I can become a top 250 amateur in 2 years. I have a lot of small goals for example working on hitting my approach shots pin high and eliminating one side of the golf course. I want to be able to qualify for the Illinois Amateur this year and hopefully the Western Amateur by next year, also other usga sanctioned events. Also I'm going to try to walk on to my college (D1) team.

Jack vs. Tiger: Who's the Greatest Golfer?

So Economically Tiger wins just from the marketing and purse money standpoint.

    Todd Sones, Dr. Jim Suttie

My putting isn't really the issue here though, thanks for the replies guys My goal right now is to be able to walk on to the Division1 team and play some high level amateur golf until I graduate After I graduate, I plan on making a shot into the mini tours, and if that fails my backup plan is grad school Thanks for all the rplies!

Buffalo Grove Dome - We call it the bubble, just check it out on his website! Everything is posted there. Also I know he has his academy at Golf Nation in Palatine during the winter.

i definitely realize his expertise in putting, if you look at the golf channel, his videos all focus on putting - i'm glad he's only a few minutes away from my house; im planning on attending on his free clinic on putting, theres 2 of them actually

I would love to get lessons from Hank, but than I would be needed to be flied out of the state to have lessons with him. He is a lot more expensive than Suttie or Sones, but I don't question his genius. He's hell of a swing coach! I know I have the drive to become a golf pro someday, my high school friend is now a pro and has already won on the kpga and has top 25 in barclays singapore and australian championship. I was neck and neck with him and we golfed everyday pretty much and in the winters, we would hit hours into a net and leather target 15 feet away. Point is, since I am a college student, someone like Sones or Suttie would be reachable because they are at most an hour away - but I still do think highly of hank haney.

Jack vs. Tiger: Who's the Greatest Golfer?

how about tiger's mental game circa 2000? and how about swing mechanics, and just brute force? I feel like tiger gets the nod there however in the achievement category jack wins, but i've always been a firm believe for the majority of sports out there, that golf has evolved and the competition is much greater - most people counter argue with the technology and i understand, but i just think swing mechanics are more pure now than ever
