  1. 2 days with no smoking although I did vomit this morning when I had the patch on for about 30 minutes, but felt better after that.
  2. Why are you afraid to go to the range because you are playing terrible? That is where you fix your problems. Don't worry about your swing just go beat balls on the range and let it come back to you. All mental games, that is what is wrong with golf, is that it is so much in your head that you are trying to fix things that aren't there.
  3. I don't believe I am going down that road. Do you see people telling Phil/Freddie/Kenny to donate more and to help out more in the community? No you don't because people make it a big deal that a black/asian golfer is a phenom rather than it being a white person. Some of the media and those around the media treat this world like we are still separated based on color, intellect, or where you sit on the bus. I think it is stereotypical to blame a minority for never helping out enough more than it is to blame a white person for not giving enough. Maybe you think I am going down that road, but in my mind I am putting myself out there to say what others do not want to because they feel like they are close to that line.
  4. Every time a minority is in the news and is a national/global role model for everyone, others begin to say that they need to be helped as well. This happens when people win the lottery as well, you get cousins/uncles/aunts that come out of the woodwork and say they are family. I'm sure this has happened with Obama being president as well. It is just a way to make someone feel bad just because they are in the spotlight.
  5. Just started quitting with NicoDerm CQ and man do these patches make me feel weird. They make me nautious and always give me a constant buzz. Has anyone else quit with these? What should I expect?
  6. Well Done! What is the course length?
  7. Yeah, the main reason I am doing this is for more consistency. I will take some less yardage for more consistency, but studying it it seems like it may add some yardage, but we will see.
  8. You keep the ball about 3 inches inside your left heel at all times, you just adjust your right foot and your spine angle according to the club you are using. This is taught by butch and Hank Haney, so it must be working. ;)
  9. Since I started playing golf 19 years ago I have always moved my positionon the ball to adjust for the club I was using. Today I was talking to my boss at the course and he was reading a book that says to move your right foot and keep your left foot and ball position in the same position. This means that for a wedge you have your left heel 3 or 4 inches in front of the ball and you move your right foot 3 to 4 inches behind the ball. For the seven iron the left foot stays and you move your right foot a little further back and so on. I have been mishitting the ball lately, but still scoring well, but knowing this information could change everything. When I was practice swinging it was unbelievable how natural it felt in the new stance and it gave me more confidence. Just thought I would share this with all of you, seeing if you have ever had the same problem.
  10. I don't let them try my clubs anytime unless I know them and they are good enough to hit them. As far as sharing on the course I never do it because it is a penalty in a tournament. It's a 2 stroke penalty up to 4 or 6 strokes or something like that. I called a kid on it in a tournament once because he used a guy's club who was left handed in the group and he was not happy with me.
  11. I have one and just reshafted it with an Epic shaft, best driver I have hit. Great feel and everytime I hit it the guys I play with say they have never heard that type of sound off a driver before.
  12. If you put it in a Roth IRA you can transfer your money between stock/bonds/and cash without paying a fee as much as you want. The area right now to be in is bonds though according to my business teacher who controls over 2 Million of his clients money. Once the average starts to go up and crosses over the line, you will want to move it to stocks though.
  13. Wow what a joke. This is why 1 person should not be in charge of that money. It should be a group.
  14. Yes it will make a difference, you will hit it shorter probably by about 5-7 yards. No general rule on how much yardage you will lose/gain, just saying 5-7 based on your current yardage that you hit it now.
  15. There are a lot of factors that are involved in what you are saying. You will most likely hit your three wood further when it is teed up rather than on the ground. Or your 3 wood may be 16 degrees rather than the average 15. I have seen 3 woods from 13 degrees all the way to 17.5 so it really just depends on what yours is. You could think about maybe getting a 14 degree 3 wood (original Ping Rapture is 14 degrees) and throwing a 5 wood in that is around 18 or 19 degrees to make up for the big gap in yardage.
  16. I have bought quite a few demo clubs and I do this because they are much cheaper and if you don't like how it looks you don't have to buy it. I mainly buy them for the head and them reshaft/regrip them because I can get them for half off. Plus the normal wear and tear will happen on a new club as well so why spend twice as much to get the same wear and tear you'll have in 3 months with a new club. If it looks good then why not buy a used club. Hope this helped. :)
  17. I'll go with Iacas, I just feel like no matter what there are going to be people who say Tiger won it and people who say O'hair lost it and I just don't think Tiger could win that without O'hair choking. So in terms of comprimising, I'll agree that it was a combination of both and that Tiger is the best ever, but that we have not seen what his climax is yet. He is still hiding something spectacular that we will see. Hopefully.
  18. I play the new Nike's and they are a great feeling ball. Different from last years, but they did not lose their edge.

    ball speed?

Ball speed correlates with swing speed. If you gave us your 3 iron swing speed we could tell you what your ball speed is. Take your swing speed and multiply by around 1.4(average-depending on how solid the strike was.) http://thesandtrap.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6083
  20. Or the bandwagon missed a stop..................
  21. A. Yes, the r7 425 has a tip diameter of .350 as well as the tour burner, so if you are able to save the shaft you can put it in your new club. B. It should be similar since the red has a high flex point causing a lower ball flight. C. If you use your same shaft you should be fine because you really don't want to tip a driver shaft much or you make it extremely stiff. You can always put an extension in your shaft as well. D. This is a difficult question to answer because the Tour Burner is a bigger head, which can cause increased distance, but it just depends on the swing and your consistency.
  22. In my opinion it is always the short game that comes along last because you just rip your driver and don't have to worry about touch and feel. Plus you were on the range hitting full shots I'm guessing for 3 weeks and not attacking your short game the same way. Give it time and it will come back.
  23. 330-350 on my terylium 2 newport 140 on my yes callie - f (but I work at a golf course and got it at cost)
  24. The best place for a public golf course player to go would be their local club and ask the head pro. If he/she do not do fittings with club adjustments, they may know a great fitter that can help you. Even if they cannot bend the clubs you can get the specs and take them somewhere else. Hope this is helpful.
  25. Always good to ese Karrie Webb play well and win. She is a real ambassador to the LPGA. Congratulations.
