  1. Joining A "No Match" league

Our Wednesday night league is based on quota points. In essence, you're only competing against yourself, with a max of double bogey on every hole. We have CTP prizes, skins, and a weekly raffle. The people that run it do a great job and all the money paid in, gets paid back out.
  2. Hurricane IRMA

The latest projected path, at least the one the local paper is showing, shows the center of the storm moving NNW, between Tampa and Orlando, almost equidistant from both cities.
  3. Hurricane IRMA

As of right now, it is set to crawl up the spine of Florida. My county, Pinellas, has issued evacuation orders for anyone in Evacuation Zone A. I am in a non-evacuation zone. However, I am evacuating to Vegas for my honeymoon Saturday morning. I am getting out before Southwest cancels their flights, starting Saturday afternoon/evening.
  4. In How Many States Have You Played Golf?

4 for me - PA, MD, FL, NV

  7. Happy Birthday Thread!

    Thanks @iacas!
  8. Sad story about David Feherty's son

I feel horrible for him and his family. I couldn't imagine what they're going through.
  9. POLL: Is Jordan Spieth a Whiny Baby?

I voted a little whiny, but I still like him, with the whiny moniker being the popular term. I prefer to say emotional, ultra-competitive, and very open. And as many have already said, he gets on himself, as many of us do.
  10. Is Innisbrook Resort Worth it?

It is absolutely worth it! During that time of the year, the rounds at Copperhead tend to be near $100. That doesn't include the hotel.
  11. High Handicapper GAME GOLF Members?

I liked Wentworth. It was the first time I had played it and didn't know what to expect. The front was much tougher for me as it seemed tighter than the back. I played the back much better. I live near East Bay, but I haven't played it in a while. When I first moved to the area, I played at East Bay or Tides pretty frequently. I've been trying to incorporate different courses, for variety.
  12. High Handicapper GAME GOLF Members?

@Largobuc It looks like we live near each other! I live almost across the street from East Bay Country Club. My GG profile link should be in my profile. I'll give yours a follow!
  13. Forum Profile Handicap Indices....

    Dropped from 16 to 15.4.
  14. 13 problems only public golfers understand

I feel your pain! From December-April, unless it's my weekly league, the only time I golf is if the weather is crappy that day, or I play hooky from work and go early on a Tues or Weds morning. Even in the summer, so I can avoid the crowds, I prefer to golf at noon. To me, a little sweat is worth not having to wait forever.
  15. That's what I tell my wife all the time!! Oh sorry, off topic!!
