  1. corey pavin uses regular flex in his irons, i use stiff flex. It's all about the ss...generally better players swing faster, and are able to control their shots better than most average golfers.
  2. Shot a 34 (-2) during one of my high school practices. Best 9 hole roud of my career thus far!
  3. I ment to say that they were just re-designed.
  4. Why? A lot of irons now have V grooves, including mine, the 695 cb's. If it really made a big difference, you can always get a groove sharpener, or just get a vokey pw or something.
  5. i liked it lot...i thought the opening scene was well done, and brad pitt did a great job throughout.
  6. The jetta sportswagen is a very sharp looking car. VW just released it, and up here in boston they are selling like hot cakes. There is a 3 month wait if you want a new one here...not too sure about if there is a wait in erie. I cannot give you too much info on the forester, but the jetta seems like a more smart decision, unless you need the extra room with the forester for hauling things.
  7. I saw ryan moore and his beard in person at the u.s. open...and let me say that it is IMPRESSIVE!
  8. when i went to the u.s. open, the putting green was 50 yards behind the first tee for the black course. The driving range was pretty far away on the left side of the club house, near the giant concessions tent.
  9. that not the point i was making at all. My point was that my players cb's look like blades at address, but they are much more forgiving, the best of both worlds.
  10. See...i just dont get this argument. No person can tell the difference from my 695 cb compared to the 695 mb when at address.
  11. Im going out on a limb here...but maybe it's because mid to high handicappers are not as well educated about golf equipment, and what will suit them best. Ovbiously this is not the case for every mid to high handicapper, but i think this is the general case. Blades do not offer any advantage over a players cb, and i have said this over and over again. My 695 cb's are basically the same as the 57's and they are great irons that are more forgiving than blades. Which helps me when i mis hit the ball. Not only are they more forgiving, but they also provide great feedback that can easily be recognized...Maybe its me that doesn't get IT, but i seem to be a very practical person, and the idea of anyone over a 5 handicap using blades seems very dumb.
  12. I almost bought that hybrid after watching the shot, considering my current hybrid, titleist 909h, is imposible for my to hit correctly.
  13. Yep Evo's are grea cars, same with the subaru impreza wrx or impreza sti. Both are great and fast, however the interior is not he greatest. If you want the complete package look at the bmw 335. They come in a coup, sedan, with awd and diesel engine if you please. Anything german will last you a while, good luck.
  14. if you think the 2007 burner fairway woods are nice, wait until you try their hybrids! Those things were amazing, i remember my old 22*. I had a hard time not hitting that thing high and straight. If only i could find another like it, except with a lower launch.
  15. usually 54 sometimes 58 and rarely the pw. I chip with the clubs that i have the most confidence...the 54.
  16. you will not be able to bend your shaft, unless you smack it against a tree on purpose. Don't worry about it!
  17. padraig harrington's, "paddy", is probly the worst nickname on tour.
  18. My yardages from 130 and in. I am also working on my putting as usual and my greenside short game. I feel that if i tidy up these loose ends, then i can seriously get down to a low single digit handicap.
  19. Played decent except for the fisrt two holes. Ended up shooting a 78. No putts fell though, i felt like tiger woods yesterday...burning the edge. My woods and irons were good for the most part, and didn't have any blow up holes so that's a plus. Went 40-38 on a par 72.
  20. thank you for saying this...i sometimes think golfers tend to boost their own ego and think they are better than they truly are when on an online forum. I voted 1-10%...but thats because i know i can hit 2 shots 518 yards. That being said, i would really need to crush both of my shots.
  21. best value IMO
  22. your arms and wrists are too stiff. Dont be afraid to bend your arms a bit at the top of the swing and let your wrists hinge properly. Take a look at tiger woods at the top, and try to replicate that image through a mirror. Good luck!
  23. Maybe i am..im not really sure. I dont focus on too many things while a play golf. I try to be relaxed and have a smooth tempoduring my swing. things just sorta fall apart 3 or 4 holes into my tournament rounds, i can't explain it.
  24. The thing is, i didn't feel nervous or anxious...except on the first tee. I hit a beautiful tee shot and stuck my 9 iron to 10 feet to follow it up. But right when the pressure seemed to subside, i started to hack it up.
  25. NI4NI, my tournament was held at cyprian keys. Thanks for all your help so far!
