  1. there is othing wrong with a fade. Plenty of pros play them, including freddy couples and vijay singh. the reason most pros play draws is because a draw is a more likely shot shape for better players.
  2. haha, i agree. When your a plus handicap, a bad day might be 3 or 4 over. When your and 8 handicap like me, a bad day could mean a 92, which is what i shot in my tournament 1 week ago, on a 132 slope course. Yesterday a shot a 83 on a course with a slope of 137 and was playing 6,700 yards. Not an amazing round, but still good for what the course rating is. Weird!
  3. it seems like eveybody famous is dying. Ed mcmahon, farrah, micheal, billy mays, and now steve mcnair.
  4. I followed tiger last week at the u.s. open, and his ballflight was not nearly as high as it appears on t.v. with shot tracker. Shot tracker is very decieving, because the camera is set at an angle, so it displays a ballflight that is different than in real person.
  5. i have a 19* that goes 220 on a solid strike, but that usually doesnt happen. I am struggling with the hybrid lately.
  6. I sorta tend to be brand loyal, just look at my sig. However i also test all different types of clubs, and these are the ones that i like best, except for maybe the hybrid.
  7. my friend lost his hole in one ball on the next hole. lol Luckily i managed to keep mine in my other bag, which isn't going anywhere.
  8. correct me if im wrong, but aren't you a teenager, and therefore have to walk? Anyways, i just use the bag that my team gives me. Its nice because it says my name on it, and my town, wellesley.
  9. Federer has won 3 straight australian open's, 5 straight wimbledon's, 5 straight U.S. open's, and just recently won his first french open...so yes, federer does have a couple decent streaks.
  10. Almost all of Nadal vs. Federer's matches have come on clay, with the exception of maybe 3 or 4. So, to me this isn't a fair comparison considering that Nadal is the king of clay.
  11. Roger federer's streak is far more inpressive. First off, he did in in a quicker ammount of time as opposed to tiger. Also, tennis tournaments are pretty much 2 weeks of hell. Not only do they require an insane ammount of focus, mental strength, and skills(just like golf), but they also require you to be in top shape...unlike golf. Federer has completed the career slam, and has one 14 majors...the current record. Tiger doesn't have the record. You have to take all thins into consideration, and to me the clear winner is my boy Roger.
  12. Geoff Ogilvy
  13. It's just the title of the thread, the OP clearly left a detailed response of his question. Do you expect to know everything about a book just by reading the title? No...of course not, a title is just a general statement or question that relates to what the person really wants to know...duh!
  14. a rotation is good if your hand sweats. This way you can switch every 6 holes, or every 9 holes etc. Depending on how many golves you have. I am going to starat doing this, because sometimes the club becomes hard to grip on the back 9.
  15. probably 2 weeks ago, when i shot a 39 for 9 holes (+3). However, i had 6 bogeys and 3 birdies, some holes i did great, but most were pretty crappy. I also wasn't playing with a driver at the time.
  16. I can comfirm what i said, i convinced my dad! I just got the tickets on stubhub.com. Does anyone know how reliable this website is? Regardless, i am very excited, cannot wait to see everyone in action for the first time since last august at the deutsche bank.
  17. its a prototype, i doubt they will make it fro the public, becuase i do not believe it would sell. If you get your hands on one, expect to pay alot of money, good luck finding it!
  18. I am suffering from an early release as well. Right now im working on turning my back to the target, and then rotating through to get my chest to the target. My coach always says it...Back to the target, chest to the target. Good luck dude!
  19. im most likely going, my dad hasn't bought the tickets, but he promised me, and im starting to get on his case about it. lol He will give in soon.
  20. I cant stand the callaway diablo, with its closed face. Thats an impressive 117 ss you have their! I believe it after watching your iron video. My ss with a driver tends to be around 100 mph. This is a controlled swing though...any idiot can up theirs by 5 mph by going all out.
  21. i shot a 99 in a tournament about a month ago...yes a 99. Believe me when i say that it happens to the best of us.
  22. Hate to break it to ya buddy, but yours is not perfect either. I can also tell that their is no way in hell you're a 3 handicap. Try to have a more athletic posture at adress and at the top of your backswing...not much else to say given the fact that the camera angle isn't great.
  23. zach johnson does not use stack and tilt, nor does he take and little parts of it. Zach also has not reinvented himself this year, remember folks, before this year zach had a masters win and 3 other pga tour wins.
  24. Damn, you rip it man, keep the good work up. P.S. if you have control problems, i would suggest to slow it down. Your plane looks a little steep too, if you dont hit draws, then i would flatten it out.
  25. ping g10. Its a 460, and has a neutral face, its a pretty good driver. I would also reccomend the r9, its such a great stick, im getting one withing the next couple days!
