  1. His swing is totally standard until the finish. He has a Kenny Perry-esque shoulder-turn, then the downswing is straight up text book until deep into the follow-through when for some stupid reason he thinks it's funny to go insane with the drama. Honestly, I think he's kind of a jackass. Your impressions are hilarious though, Steve. But seriously, don't hurt yourself Edit: I guess he doesn't straighten his trail leg/turn his hips enough on the backswing, but otherwise, he looks pretty much like every tour player until the ridiculous finish.

Thanks for the link. That’d be hysterical if their “solution” didn’t even address the controversy 🤣 Classic NFL.

    Haha, point taken. 😄
  4. Yea that’s a good scene. Definitely watch it, it’s very well done. “Now you got the edge on him.” This though is easily the most iconic scene in the entire movie, except for maybe the last scene: You definitely don’t need to watch this whole clip, but the walk thru the trenches and the final countdown is pretty epic.

@bkuehn1952 rereading my reply, I could see how that post kind of comes off a bit condescending, so hopefully you didn’t get that at all. I respectfully disagreed of course 😄
  6. Great movie. When I was like 19-22 years old it was my favorite movie. I still really like it.

I disagree. For one thing, holding won't be reviewable. We're mostly just talking about pass interference here, even though some other penalties are being looked at as possibly reviewable (which ones I don't know, but I doubt it's going to be holding). Second, obviously the new rule would allow a coach to challenge a no-call on a pass interference haha. And I think if a coach red flags what is mostly hand fighting, the refs probably won't give it to them. In the Saints case, it absolutely would have helped them, at least insofar as extending that drive. What would have happened after that, we'

Lol, hey I was all for the Lexi Thompson penalty but even for me this is a bridge too far Also, it looks like pass interference is going to be reviewable next year. I think I'd be fine with it. Maybe make it only a playoff rule or something so the regular season games don't get slowed down. Or maybe it's alright making it apply to all games since those games do matter. PS- Very smart use of the little brother btw.
  9. Now this is an idea I can get behind.

Wow, I thought I knew of all the old school games, but I guess not. That one looks super weird. Hey, we won't need to replace the players because medicine will be so advanced that ACL tears will only take 2-3 weeks to recover from. Now, where it'll get tricky is when the super rich start genetically enhancing their children in the zygote stage to all be elite athletes. Then I'll be on board with robot football Wow, was it hard playing it by candle light?
  11. This is seriously one of my all-time favorite covers ever haha. The Dream Academy -- Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want So good. I love the feeling it gives me. Great scene from a great movie too.
  12. I know this is a super old movie (1975), but I friggin' love Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon. It's an incredibly slow movie, but I absolutely love it these days. I first saw it when I was like 23 and thought it was pretty cool. Then I saw it again when I was about 31 and really enjoyed it, more so than the first time. I saw it recently (age 35) and now I'm in love with it. It's a beautifully crafted movie IMO. Again, it's extremely slow. It's not for everybody. I give it an eagle though. Most probably would be bored to tears by this, but I really dig this flick. The trailer does

On this one it didn't seem nearly as bad as they typically can get, but maybe they should yea. I think I'm alright with calling unsportsmanlike and then tossing him after the second offense like they're doing now. Re: the Overtime rules. Yea, I've been railing against this one for years and years and years. I seriously thought everyone would go crazy after the Patriots beat the Falcons on the opening drive of OT two years ago, but IIRC, very few people seemed to give a shit then, probably because the comeback basically crowned Brady the GOAT in the eyes of most (and rightly so). So that w

Lol, you Pats fans are so cruel. Here I am, just a lowly, humble Jets fan, bruises and all, and you guys still want to come after me. Haven't I suffered enough? I'm pretty objective when evaluating players and games though. Not 100%, but always striving for it. Yea, that Saints call was so gross. Wow.

I obviously won't be rooting for the Pats, but when did I count out Tom Brady? I had the Pats winning 34-31 and I went against the Vegas degenerates in questioning the under Saints were totally robbed btw. It's pretty gross that NFL history can be determined by the terrible call of some no name guy in a striped shirt. All that hard work all year and it comes down to a garbage call at the end. So sickening. Oh well. Glad I'm not a Saints fan today.
  16. Yea I agree. I agree also that she wasn’t too shabby at this silly game 😄

Yea it probably won’t end too well for NE D there but to their credit they’ve been better lately. Mahomes did light them up for a forty burger on the road though. The weather is supposed to be pretty cold so that could play into the defenses’ favor. I guess that’s why the Vegas degens are betting the under. Eric Berry currently expected to play is an interesting wrinkle as well. He did a great job on Gronk in week one last year, but has only been active for three games over the last two seasons. I wonder if he’ll be effective at all.

We get two excellent matchups in the conference championships this year. They've both played each other earlier in the season too, adding to the intrigue for me. Pats 43, Chiefs 40 Saints 45, Rams 35 Yea, that's a lot of scoring. Not much movement in Vegas either although people are feeling the under in Chiefs-Pats for some reason. I feel like the under is more likely in Saints-Rams. I think though I'm gonna guess 34-31 Pats and 30-27 Saints and will laugh at myself on Sunday night when I'm wrong. Anyway, regardless of betting, the games themselves are so inter

  20. I guess in some sense I brought this up just to bring my opinion into the light of day and see if it held up to scrutiny. I got down to an 8.9 not swinging my arms much at all past impact, so you can definitely hit good shots doing it. And Jim Furyk and David Duval are major champions and they really don't do it either, at least relative to other tour pros. Also, unrelated to this, your DTL does look better: better shoulder pitch and you are turning more coming down, likely decreasing shank probability like Erik was talking about earlier in the thread. Kudos there. As I read
  21. Fowler and Bobby Jones. Most decent golfers have this look post impact though. Most guys on this site in the single digits do it too. The eyes are still looking at the ground but the hands have swung past across the chest quite a ways. To me, it feels like basically making an all arms swing with my upper body, but your feels may vary. Plus I know you have some turning issues coming down, so I'm hesitant to suggest feels here. Does it make more sense what I'm talking about now? Your arms are more in front of your chest rather than across it at these locations. Edit: Again tho
