  1. I have had PF in both feet. Best thing for me after getting shots in both heels to calm things down were custom orthotics and rarely going barefoot. Every time I go barefoot too much it flares up.
  2. If you don’t feel ready to do a fitting then at least go to a golf and hit as many clubs as they let you. Find ones you feel you get good results with and then shop around on the internet to get the best deals. eBay, Rockbotton Golf, Second swing and Global Golf have worked well for me in the past. You can find some really good deals on 1 or 2 year old models and used clubs.
  3. My 40$ 3w. I hit it almost as far as my $99 driver.
  4. My son is treating me to a round of golf at Cog Hill. My wife bought me a Torrey Pines quarter zip, hat and tee shirt. Guess I wasn’t good enough for a round at Torrey Pines.
  5. That’s how I buy my clubs. I’d rather do that and put the money toward playing more often.
  6. My 21 year old out drives by a lot. I find the fairway more so it evens things out.
  7. Slowly so I could enjoy playing there as long as possible.
  8. I have a Tour Edge CB pro that I picked last year. It has really helped me.
  9. I heard he pulled a Lucy and swallowed the ball right before the other guy was about to make contact which caused him to lose balance and he fell off the platform to the ground.
  10. I played on a simulator for the first time this year. It was a lot of fun on a cold winter day. It took me about 3 rounds to figure out the chipping and putting. I just had a hard time figuring out green speed.

    I love Golf!!

I think twice a week and one other day at the range would be just about right.

    Fly Z deal!

It is. The cheapest I've seen either one is around $150.

He's having a pretty good couple weeks.
  14. If I can stand I'll still play.
  15. I went mostly left hand low except on really long putts this year and I became more consistent. My second to last time out about half way through and for no real reason with my left hand I put the grip between my index and middle finger. I got really hot the rest of the round. I went out the next day tried it for the whole round. My results were really good ( for me) again. I've only been able to try it again on the carpet in the basement but who knows maybe I found something. Then again maybe not.
  16. I second using eBay. I've had much more success finding better prices there than on the two sites you mentioned. I've never bought anything from Rockbottom Golf but have seen good prices there on equipment. The last bit of advice I'd give since you have a tight budget don't buy anything before you can demo it. You want to make sure a club works for you before you spend money on it.
  17. Only one for me today. Driver was pretty solid but the rest of my game was a disaster.
  18. I would look at getting a better sand wedge and hold off on the 60 for now. I found it hard to be very consistent with a 60 and I know some of the people I play with aren't real confident with their 60s either.
  19. I'd second what someone mentioned earlier about Adams. Someone suggested them to me when I wanted to replace most of my set but I only had a small budget. I'm happy with what I have and there are lots of great deals out there.
  20. Some would say based on the average age of golfers they need to talk that loud.
  21. When I wanted to replace my bag a couple of years ago I was just starting to play regularly. I wanted better clubs but didn't think I was good enough yet to spend more than the $400/500 you are planning on spending. A friend said try some Adams clubs because there were really good deals out there and he said he thought some of their clubs were real sleepers. I tried some of their clubs found ones that I liked. I was able to stay in budget and the clubs have really helped my game.
  22. I started mine when they were 9 and 7. My daughter was never to into it. She never had much chance to play with all her dance classes. My son liked it right away but got away from it a bit while he was in high school but now that he is in college he is playing more again.
  23. If he loves golf and has never been to a tournament any day is fine. The first time I took my son we did a Saturday because I didn't want to pull him out of school so it had to be on the weekend. The Saturday was the better weather day so we chose that. He especially liked standing behind the tee box on par 3s and watching how guys shaped shots. Even if your not that into golf that was pretty amazing to watch.
  24. I usually give myself one mulligan off the tee and maybe one from the fairway. As a rule though I almost always use a mulligan on shots in the water so I don't really feel I slow things up since I'd be taking another shot anyway.
  25. When I was looking for new irons last year to replace a 12 year set I was using I didn't have the money for a fitting and a brand new set of irons. I decided to look at models that were a year or two old. I went to Dick's, Golfsmith and the PGA Superstore and tried as many clubs as they would let me. Finally I got it down to 4 sets that I liked. I searched the discount golf equipment sites and started making bids on eBay. I ended up getting a set of Xtd irons for $150 that I've been very happy with. It took me a couple of months but it paid off being patient.
