  1. Im in the process of buying a Grafalloy Epic shaft but I dont know the tip size. I have done some research on this and didnt really find an answer some seemed to say .350 or .335. If anyone knows the tip sizes on these it would be greatly appriaciated.
  2. The 57's are not going much if at all harder to hit. Being that they are a players cavity they will be alot more accurate than a forged GI iron, which will get you to your goal faster and will be better in the long run.
  3. Over vacation my family and me will be going to myrtle beach and we are deciding on a place to stay. Barefoot seems to have a great package for golf its 4 nights and 4 rounds of golf for $540 per person. I know the courses there are supposed to be fantastic, some of the best in Myrtle Beach, but when I did a search on the resort there reviews where pretty evenly mixed leaning torwards the better side. I was looking for what those of you here think of the Barefoot Golf and Resort or if you have any other recommendations.

    Battle Golf

Its a game mode in the Tiger Woods video game. I thaught it would be fun to try this on the course with a friend. For those of you who dont know how its played its played match play style but when someone wins a hole they can take a club out of the others players bag or add a club back to your bag. The restictions are that you cannot take out the 5 iron, Sand Wedge, or Putter. I will post again how it went when i get the chance because the weather is poor here in Ma. Feel free to post stories if you have already done this or what you think of the format.
  5. Short game is also the difference between pros tour the best and the ones hoping to make the weekend. Tiger and Phil have the best short games consequently they are 1&2 in the world. John Daly, Sergio and Adam Scott are examples of great players but just cant make it happen with the short game.
  6. I had played their without a caddie and the wind was at least 30mph and shot 94. Front 9 didnt think it was very tough. The back 9 was impossible. 85 is a great score there.
  7. This is actually my first set of blades the McaGregor's I was playing were the MT forged which were considered to be a players cavity back but the were more towards a game improvement iron.
  8. Today I played a 9 hole course par 32 and shot 39. Not bad considering I had 4 three putts and it was my second time playing this season. The Mizzy's were so pure, deadly accurate my ball was pin seeking on just about every shot. However i did lose about 5 yards which is not a big deal because i gained 10 yards from last year with the Macgregor's I perviously used. I am very happy with the 68's I can work the ball right to left very well and am pleased at how my shots were going right at the hole. The forgiveness is good to for being blades, distance wise was only about 5 yards less on a okay shot, directional forgiveness seemed good because I didn't lose any balls way left or right.
  9. I ordered Mizuno MP 68's 3-PW with X100 shafts +.25 in and Golf Pride New Decade Multicompound grips. They should be delivered tommorrow and I plan on playing 9 holes with them. I post again after the round to share how it went.
  10. At my former home course the 9th hole is a slight dogleg right downhill and 275 yards. I shot the flag with my laser and it was only 250 yards. I hit 3 wood to the front of the green. People I have played with think they hit the ball really far on that hole because they can put the ball by the green with their driver when really it only went about 230 downhill.
  11. I got my first round in on saturday and had a similar experience as the OP struck the ball well but short game was hell. I just need the time to get the feel back in my short game.
  12. 1. Win a nepga junior tournament 2. Shoot par or better for 18 3. Get 1st hole in one (not so much a goal just hoping)
  13. I have gone the past 2 years and hav enjoyed it a lot. They have really good prices on equipment it would definatly be worth going.
  14. Haven't heard anything about him for a while, wondering if you guys have heard anything about him.
  15. It wont actually pick up a slice it just judges where the ball hits on the screen. But I do agree with you that the simulator makes slices or hooks way worse than they really are.
  16. Womens clubs would probably be the best option just dont buy the all pink ones.
  17. VERY. My dad says the tv is broken because all we get is golf.
  18. Go with the 52 a 60 wont be much help as your sand wedge is going 60 yards.
  19. I gotta agree with you on the R9 TP's, not one of their better irons.
  20. Personally I like to take some distance of my clubs, however this is only for the scoring irons where they are made for control/accuracy and not distance. At 175 yards I would go with a normal 6 iron (in this case 170 yds) and have a 15 foot putt. I would consider this a very good shot. In golf somtimes you just have to take whats given to you and not try to force it. What are the chances really at hitting that much better of a shot with the 5 iron than the 6?
  21. I dont see the big deal with someone who is not a tour pro playing all blades its all about confidence. I know one of the reasons I want to switch to blades is because I have a tendency to swing to hard and with blades I dont have that problem because I know an out of control swing will end poorly. Furthermore they help my concentration which is somthing I have to work on. The OP is asking for sugestions on which iron set and doesnt want to hear about why he or others should not play blades, and I doubt he will be swayed by all of these negative comments.
  22. "Classic mix up" is a pretty good one Anything Alan says is funny though.
  23. What I have except Id like to replace my irons with mizuno mp 68's
  24. What you described are the same club. The Nike Forged Blade is very clean looking and just has the swoosh on the back. The Victory Red TW Blades are the ones with the Victory Red logo and TW logo on the back.
  25. Driver- 270 3 wood- 120 Hybrid- 60 Irons- 150 Wedges- 330 Putter- 200 Total- 1130 However most of this I did not pay for between trading in clubs, gift cards and presents
