I am considering getting custom fit to a driver shaft. Because I have a swing speed of 110 with a pretty violent swing and a stiff shaft. My misses tend to be hooks. According to swing speed charts I should be using a x-stiff shaft. Before I do anything I was wondering if its worth it and how much it helped your game.

The 07 Burner 10.5 sounds like it would be a good fit for you. You said that you hit your shots low have you considered a 4 or 5 wood instead of a 3 wood to help get the ball in the air.

Is anyone here gaming these yet? From what ive read they seem to generate more spin than the previous models. I am also wondering how the perform on full shots because I spin my Callaway x tour 58* way to much which makes it hard to control distance.

How well do you hit it from the fairway? It looks to be very hard to hit because the bottom of the club is so narrow.

Im interested in buying the Mizuno mp r or the NIKE victory red wedges. As of now I play a Titleist and Callaway wedges. They seem to be decent wedges but im looking to get a set of 52,56, and 60 and these two fit my eye. Any information about these would be helpfull. Im open to other suggestions but not Titleist or Cleveland.

The Bridgestone J33 wedges they look awesome. But I cant demo the clubs before i buy them so any feedback would be appriciated.

Wedges that come with a set are not designed as wedges just part of an IRON set. Definatly get a Vokey.

I actually did this today and it was very noticable even more so than Tiger. This was at the range with some crap range balls but they werent cut or anything it was very bizzare. There also was no wind

Id say count everyone off in threes in the order you have but this could lead to unfair teams depending on the strenghts off each play.

I hate when people let you play through then cant even wait for you to finish the hole by your self then they get pissed off on the next tee because they have to wait for you.

My dad is the same way it just gets frustrating to play with him because I try to help him but he does the exact same thing every time. To answer the question if more people used chippers think about how much faster play would go. With chipper: 1 shot on the green 2 putts Without chipper: Blade it across green, get nervous about doing the same thing and then duff it, then try to hit the ball harder and blade it across the green, then maybe hit the ball on the green and finally 2 putts. Sounds to me like a real good reason to use a chipper.

I would be bored if I played at your ideal course. Sounds like you want to play in a field.

Play for money doesnt have to be much but it seems as if you lose your concentration when it doesnt matter.

I also like Cranberry Valley, and I hear Dennis Pines is a great course.

Im not too picky with the style of course. There are things I dont like about courses 1. The hardest hole on the course being so incrediblely hard its near impossible. For example 440 par 4 from the whites all uphill. 2. All the nice courses have to be hard. 3. When forced to hit a club less than any wood because there is no other option.

The tryouts are at Nehoiden golf club its a private 9 hole course at Wellesley College.

Just wondering is the course Bel-Aire because I recently played there and the greens were stupid slow.

Why dont you like your R9 TP? Its a much better driver than the ones you are looking at.

I am preparing for my high school golf tryouts and today I played the course and shot a 78 which I was happy with. The only thing worring me is playing from the greenside rough which is long and thick. I can get it out fine but I have no idea how the ball will come out of the rough so I have trouble getting it close. Anyone have any tips for hitting from hitting from deep greenside rough?

This happened to me today on a par 5. My friend said that we were going to have a contest of who could hit the ball closer to the center line. I hit a low weak shot down the left side of the fairway. He bombs his drive and when we get up to his ball it was on the center line. I then proceed to top my 3 wood while he hits 3 wood up by the green in the fairway. For my third shot I hit a 5 iron which hits a dirt spot and rolls to about 20 feet from the pin. My friend hits a some what poor pitch to 15 feet. I make my putt for birdie, he misses and taps in for par. well, thats golf.
