  1. I can see him winning this year, but not until the Fall Series. I just don't see him winning before the playoffs. Maybe a runner up one more time, but no win. I think he's a great golfer, its good for the tour. He's got to do something with his mop-top hair and large puma logos everywhere, they're both kinda annoying. Gilschk!
  2. I agree with your statement regarding the par-5s. Thats why I believe you can't count out Zach Johnson. If he has a good gameplan for this week, he'll win his 2nd trophy in Hawaii in as many years. Ogilvy is also another good pick.
  3. Zach Johnson wins, Stricker comes in 2nd, and Paul Casey leads majority of the way, but falls to 3rd. Can't wait to start watching golf again. I'm sick of staring at snow on the ground. Iowa sucks, but the football team is good. Iowa- 20/ GT- 13
  4. I don't have to list mine, as this is IT! All, except the Polo clothing....I'd go with Dunning Sportswear for the clothes, just like Zach Johnson.
  5. I think if J.R. would have made it farther, I'd watch a tad more of the show. I like Andrew and think it would be hilarious if either him or the Caddy beat the two cocky brothers from Utah. I've had a couple of drinks so I can't remember the names right now, but that's how much I really care about this show. At least its golf and I'm in Iowa, so not much else going on.
  6. Not sure what Florida law is, but most states require a person to report an accident within 72 hours of the accident occurring (if the person wants/needs a report for insurance purposes). Obviously with the 911 call, law enforcement was called to the scene. Like I previously stated in another post, because his accident involved property damage to city and another person's property, a report must be completed for insurance purposes. How is an accident involving someone being injured, no matter who they are, and city/public property being damaged not a police matter?
  7. Tiger does have to speak to the police, especially if damage occurred to a fire hydrant (city property) or a tree (neighbor's property). If the damage was only done to his property (i.e. Escalade), then yes you're are correct, he doesn't need to give any statement whatsoever. Then again, he might not get all of the information in the report that the FHP will complete for the accident. If he wants to get the repairs on his vehicle paid by insurance, they'll go off of the FHP's report for details, etc. Not that he'd have a problem paying for the damages....He should just listen to the Troopers, talk to them, and move on.
  8. This was a stressfull situation and someone who isn't trained to deal with these types of incidents, often times will struggle with what to do, based on the amount of thoughts streaming through their heads. Elin, if she indeed did do the whole "golf club through the window", did something awesome. I'm guessing if any of us saw our spouses in a situation like their's has been depicted, then I'm sure you'd do the same thing. Cheers to her, I'm just hoping Nike gets him a replacement.
  9. I was a fan of J.R. (until he got the boot). He was low key and just did was he was supposed to do. If I saw Blake on a sidewalk, I'd like to punch him in the face. Oh and I'm sure James Nitties would be there, since they're great friends. Moore is ridiculous and needs to go. Guiliani is annoying, but he's not as bad as the whining from Moore and Perez. Mike and Blake should go on a date.
  10. Half Acre Lager from Chicago....and Three Floyds Gumball-Head I.P.A. Great stuff...wow.
  11. I think J.R. is a solid player, also think the tats are sweet. You normally don't see that on a course, let alone, the GC. He's a consistent player and I think he'd beat Andrew heads up. Andrew is annoying and I can't stand the way he claps. He looks like a stiff a-hole. Just watch him clap, you'll know what I mean. Go. J.R., represent the midwest.
  12. It's funny that this topic was brought up. I was actually just speaking to my wife about how a couple guys used to do this during league this year. She's asked why it was such a big deal. I told her that etiquette in golf played was a large part of the sport seperating it from others. When other players are too dumb to realize that you don't stand, they should be told not to stand there. We played the same guys the night after that and I nicely approached one of the guys after I hit, and while my partner was hitting, I gestured both of them over towards me on the backside of the tee box. I asked them, "Have you guys played this course much?" One of them responded, "Why would you ask that? We're in this league." I then said, "Well, if you've played it before, you know where you want your tee shots to go, why do you have to stand directly behind us to see the direction of the hole." Needless to say, they were at first upset as if I was being sarcastic, well I WAS. After that, they never stood behind us during a shot for the rest of that match and league. I look at it as teaching. People who don't truly understand the rules of golf should be taught the rules of the game. The rules make this game what it is.
  13. Make that Three of us. I bought a 56 Vokey Spin Milled from a local golf store for $50.00 and it works perfecto. Be careful though, sometimes stores that are wanting to make money on name over product will sometimes charge you higher for a wedge that really should be put out of it's misery. I saw a Cleveland CG14 52 in a different place that's grooves were nearly there and it was still $80. I couldn't believe it, even said something to the High School kid working who was "trying to sell" it to me.
  14. I have been watching the Solheim Cup on and off since it began and I have to say, it's almost overdone. I think the competition is great and I want to see the USA win, but even my wife says she's annoyed with "cheek tats" and constant screaming. I mean it almost feels like I'm watching a High School state meet with rival schools, not the most awesome week of golf-watching I would have to say. I'm really only watching it for the closeups of Creamer and I think my wife probably has figured that out.....that's what is probably annoying her.
  15. Yeah, you're probably right. There are so many shaft possibilities with this club, its unbelievable. The guys wanted to fit with with a TP pro shaft, but I was gonna hold off. I couldn't afford another $100.00. I'd like to upgrade in the future though. I heard that 19 pros in the RBC used the 460, including the winner. I guess it's a good club then.
  16. I'm heading to Galena, IL this weekend. Its kind of a family thing, so my wife and the other ladies are going to go shopping and us guys are going golfing. I've played golf in the Galena area only one time and thought it was good. We played all of the courses in the Eagle Ridge Resort and already have tee times for their 9-holer and mainstay, The General. Has anyone out there ever played in the Galena area? What courses other than those on Eagle Ridge are good to play? (Thanks)
  17. Well, I had been in the market for a new driver for a couple of years and today saw the end of that road. I had been looking at the Titleist 909d2 and almost pulled the trigger, but when I tested the r9 460, wow. The feeling in the swing was amazing and the ball was just exploding off the clubface. I went with the 9.5* stiff stock R9 shaft. I'd like to update shaft in the future, but for now, I'm stoked. The 460 was so smooth and felt great. I think I'll finally get the confidence back on the tee box. Good update from my three year old Callaway X460. Anyone else get the R9 460 lately? What do you think about it?
  18. Hey guys, I appreciate all of the information and I believe I'm picking one up on Monday or Tuesday. I'll let you know what I think. Thanks again, cheers.
  19. Do any of you guys own an R9 460? I'm in the market for a new driver and have been thinking about purchasing one of these. I've heard good things from some of the guys selling the clubs, but I'd like to hear from people who play with them. If you don't like this club, what driver would you reccommend that is fairly new to the market? Thanks in advance.
  20. Iowa City/Coralville, IA 1) Brown Deer Golf Club (C'ville) 2) Amana Colonies Golf Club (Amana) 3) Blue Top Ridge Golf Course (Riverside) 4) The Harvester Golf Club There are alot of courses all around Iowa, but these are four of the best that I have played. Des Moines has awesome courses too.
  21. I played HS football for a rival HS 97'-01'. We played AP at least two times a year. He always shook everyone's hand and was a great sport. Never whined about much either. Great coach and awesome role model. Another great man who didn't get to live his entirety. RIP
  22. Has anyone on here ever purchased anything on this website?
  23. Yeah you're probably right. Maybe I can get a friend to try it first and then you guys all know. ha. Probably not. Thanks for looking it over.
  24. I had a buddy tell me about the website of •••••••••••••••.com. Has anyone ever heard of this place? Im not sure I want to pay for something with that big of a deal and then get screwed. I know if it sounds to good it usually is...but I'd like some opinions. Thanks guys.
  25. Does anyone know where to go online to find a leaderboard for the US Open Sectional Qualifying? I've got a buddy playing in Columbus,OH. I know its almost 1:00 p.m., but his 2nd round starts in about an hour. Any help is appreciated!
