  1. I agree on the Launcher recommendation, I use them (The LP version) and my father in law just got the Launchers with graphite shafts for $300 (rockbottomgolf.com) and he loves them, he has never hit his irons better... I will probably be looking to upgrade in another year or two, but you never know... and these have really helped my game this year...
  2. I have been considering buying one all season, but I have not yet... I may still pick one up and try it, I am just in the habit of not wearing anything on my wrist so I am more worried about it being a bother to me... But, some studies actually say that it does work, here is a link to one: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...n_page_id=1774 I have 'golfers elbow' in both arms and I also have a neck/back problem that flared up and reallly messed up my round this weekend, so for the sake of $20 - $25 I may give it a try...
  3. Maxfli Tour Fire's are on for $19.99 / dozen right now (CDN) so I picked up a box last week and I am impressed. I would not spend the regular $35/dozen because the NXT tour are better, but for $19.99 / dozen I do not know if these can be beat... They have a nice feel, are long, and are quite durable. I layed 16 holes with one on the weekend before I lost it and it barely had a nick on it after a lot of shots!
  4. Thanks, what I am looking for is good distance and a high trajectory, so that is why I am not sure about the shaft....
  5. I love Maxfli balls. I tried the Fire this year but it is not worth the $$ IMO... I can get 24 Revolution Solids for $22.98 so that is about the price of 12 Fires... I also like the A3 that is the ball I use the most...
  6. I can get this club for $69.99 with a Grafalloy Prolaunch shaft. I can choose 15* DRAW or NEUTRAL which I like... I was just wondering if anyone has hit this club and how it feels? I really need a new 3 wood... I am going to be able to try some out next week but I am looking for some input on this on in particular, especially about the shaft, I really do not know much about the different shafts these days... Thanks!
  7. A game improvement iron is just what a beginner/high handicapper needs...
  8. I see that you are a fellow Canuck! I have the Cleveland Launcher LPs and I really like them. At $248 CDN for the set (4 - PW) you can't go wrong. I am in the same boat as you, I am expecting that I will want a new set in the future, so $248 for a really nice set of irons is a really good deal, plus I can really hit them pretty well. Here is a link, I bought mine from GolfTown and I was very impressed with the ease of the purchase and the service... http://www.golftown.com/gtcommerce/s...-P2701C23.aspx ooops just after I posted I see that they only have right handed ones left, sorry... But they are a good iron to try if you get a chance...
  9. I say it counts for sure... Congrats!!

    Prize Money

Where can you find a list of the prize money breakdowns for PGA events?
  12. Good choice, I am on my second season with mine and I really like them. I am improving my game a bit too, but I am pretty sure I will stick with these fore a few more seasons at least, I want to knock off at least 7-8 strokes before I look to upgrade...
  13. I have been looking on ebay... I can get this one fairly quickly if I order it today, though... tough choice...
  14. Good point, I did not really think of that...
  15. I want a 48* wedge and the store closest to me has the Cleveland CG11 on sale and this is the wedge I want. But the strongest loft they have in stock is 50*. They said they can bend it to 48* for me... Is this a good idea or should I order one and wait for it to come in? Is there really any difference? Thanks!
  16. I was just checking the stats and I see that Mike is now 85th on the money list with $708,842 in earnings... I was looking at the whole list and I am amazed at how much money is out there... If someone is bored they should add up the totals for all 246 players (I think it might take a while) I would love to know exactly how much prize money has been given away so far!
  17. I was a bit off on that, he switched quite some time ago... He was using the Ping driver when he first won in 1999 but his next win in 2000 was with a TaylorMade driver...
  18. I am pretty sure he has averaged about 280 most years so he has certainly added some distance. He also changed from Ping to TaylorMade for his driver, not exactly sure when he made the change though...
  19. So I just found that I can get a 47* Cleveland 588 Gunmetal for $69.99... The CG11 looks like a better club to me but I am not sure, any input on these wedges is appreciated...
  20. I have found that I can get a Cleveland CG11 wedge in the loft I want for $79.99. I think this would be a good wedge for me, this is 48* http://www.rockbottomgolf.com/clevel...tin-wedge.html Does anyone know of a better price? Thanks!
  21. I know that the balls were really rolling on the fairways but I was amazed at how far he was hitting some of his drives, I think he averaged about 305... and I think he weighs about 150 lbs soaking wet!
  22. Thanks, I think a 48* would be what I am looking for, anyone know of any other wedges that come with these lofts?
  23. Excellent! Thanks! So the reason I was asking is that I have a bit of a gap between my PW (Which I now know is 45*) and my 50* wedge. For some reason I can't seem to hit my 50 more than 100 yards and I hit my PW 125 - 130 yards... They two wedges are completely different styles of clubs, obviously, so that may have something to do with it, and my irons have stiff shafts and my 50 has a regular flex shaft, so that might also contribute... Anyway, I am looking for a club that I can use from 110 - 120 yards because I seem to get that shot a lot at my home course and I have a hard time choosing the club to use... Does anyone know of a wedge that is between 45 and 50? Thanks!
  24. I agree, and he is the kind of player who has shown that he can bounce back from a bad finish... I sense a few more top 10's and a spot on the Presidents Cup team is on the horizon for Mike...
  25. Any driver that allows you to hit that many fairways must be pretty good...
