  1. Looks totally accidental and extremely minor to me.
  2. First I heard of the the greens problems ws today, because this week was exam week at the university, so all of us staff were really busy. But now its officially off for the summer! Nothing but sun and golf until September. :p
  3. Oh wow, haven't been able to watch all this week until now... Those greens are horrendous! I would ask for my money back if I went to a course with greens in that shape.
  4. TM Penta TP
  5. THrough this whole arguement, this is the most logical response. And thought I believe steroids to be beneficial, I think they should be used under the guidance of a professional.
  6. Scheduled to come back on an MME in July. Took 12 months for his Achilles tear.
  7. Haven't tried them on Irons, but I really enjoy the Nunchuks in my woods.
  8. They are quite different. Better materials, newer technology. Expect much better mishits, but no more length on the good ones, really. That said, the G5 is still a fine driver for a beginner, and I think your problems are more due to swing faults than the club. And of course, the shaft could be A problem, but its not THE problem.
  9. You already have a nice set of clubs there already. Spend money on lessons, it will serve you mmuch better. Where do you play?
  10. I always bring a spare cap, few spare gloves, as well as spare golf shoes. Even keep s[pare pants and shirt in my locker at the club.
  11. Agreed. But its still in him to believe he can if he wants to.
  12. nice swing too. Interesting how they made those old weapons work.
  13. Huh, Wie didn't fire leadbetter? At least I cant find anything on it.
  14. Surfing and Golf every day can do that for you easily. If you do them every day, and eat well
  15. He certainly does not have Tiger's old swing. The two have never had a swing that is anything alike.
  16. Whats sad is not that Augusta had an all male membership, its that they went back on that rule which is dissapointing. In the face of Women trying to push themselves into every male oriented club, while increasing the amount of Womens only clubs all the time, its about time male only clubs push back. It doesn't matter what feelings the tradition was bored out of, it matters that Bobby Jones meant it to be a mens club, and should have stayed that way. There does not need to be quality in absolutely every club in North America. I don't see men bitching about Curves.
  17. Phelps is used to having the best instructors in the world. It is a regular part of life for him. He certainly isn't lazy, 22 olympic medals prove that, sounds like a lot of bias to me, not just from you, but everyone who doesn't like the kid.. Hank was talking about how he knows what it takes, and keep going and going until he hits his goals. I think its his attitude that puts off many, and if you know athletes, they all have an attitude. Hell, the NEED and attitude. You don't become #1 in the world at ANYTHING without strong work ethic on top of gobs of talent, and some cockiness. You need to believe you are the best to be the best.
  18. First Tee. I gave 'em a set of g10's 3-pw and 2 Wilson Staff putters after my dad gave em back to me last week.
  19. I am a nutritionist and Kinesiologist, and I work with university hockey players, responsible for all of their dryland training, diets, and strength training. A lack of endurance should not come from working swing shifts, as long as you are getting good REM sleep. I would say that your diet is out of whack, you are probably eating meals at night a lot, instead of eating healthy, low carb snacks, and eating meals at the normal times. (Breakfast when you get home after nights, lunch when you get up, then a snack and dinner before you go in to work. You should easily be able to get through the night with healthy snacks like Jerky, nuts, and other healthy alternatives. If you are out of energy by the 7th hole, its certainly a fitness and nutrition problem. That, or a serious, undiagnosed medical condition. If you truly do all the things you say, I would be getting a very good checkup. There is nothing normal about what you are describing. Nine holes should be a warm-up for a young man of thirty.
  20. No funny stories from the wife. SHe plays, but we rarely play together, except for 9 holes on Saturday afternoons with the children we mentor. Other than that, she plays Wednesday night on Ladies Night, and Sunday morning with some friends of hers. I, on the other hand, play at least three 18's and a 9 per week in the summer. More if I can fit it in. The joys of being a University employee, and having summers off with pay. I can play 7 days a week if I want. On days where my wife is off, I tend to get the golfing in early. She won't get out of bed before 10am if she doesn't need to work (nurse), and I cannot stay in bed past 6:30, 7am if I am really, really tired.
  21. Certainly the 5w should be longer. ~18* compared to ~22* for a 4i. At least my 5w is the longer club. D-3w-5w-19*h-4i, for me anyway. I guess if lofts are stronger or weaker on one of your clubs, there wont be much difference, but personally, its at least ~25 yards difference for me. Especially off the tee. My irons do get a lot more roll out though, something I am going to try to fix with a shaft fitting. My woods and hybrid fly high and come down softly, with minimal bounce and roll. My long irons land at a more shallow angle and tend to roll out a lot more. I am not a fan of roll out except off my driver.
  22. More than likely its poor diet and lack of exercise.
  23. sunday will be ribs, chicken, and beer, with friends.
