  1. It has been a few years since I've been there. We also enjoyed Woodlake which isn't far and I understand The Pit has closed. I remember Woodlake because an 8 foot black snake slithered over my shoes while looking for a ball. I've tried to forget it but can't-:)
  2. I always found Longleaf interesting. It was built on the site of an old horse farm and If I recall they left the fenced track in where they trained horses. Part of the fairway is in the middle of the fenced track. It was reasonably priced too.
  3. Hi Folks: One of my FAVORITE places for a golf buddy trip is Santee National Golf Club in Santee, S. C.... WHY? I think it is one of the best set up places for golfers to stay, play and carouse. The Santee area has a wide variety of golf courses, 17 in all, and hotels to fit your style and budget. Known as the “Value Destination of the East Coast”, Santee offers great golf for the money. Situated along Interstate 95, Santee is also probably the easiest to find golf destination. There are numerous places to stay but you would absolutely want to go with the golfers condos at Santee National G
  4. Farmstead is up that way. If I remember they have a nifty par 6 on 18. Just a thought, Have you ever thought of going to Hilton Head? I've never played a bad course there and you don't have to overspend to play nice courses. If you know where to look, there are some spots there that are "entertaining".
