  1. Thanks everyone. I'm looking into aimpoint. How many of you took a lesson vs the video?
  2. Never been really good at reading greens but the last 6 months or so it's seems to be really bad. Yesterday, I shot 81 and 8 putts in the 3-6 foot range, some for birdie some for par and only made 1. All misreads. My feel for speed has been pretty good but unless it's a tap in, it ain't going. I see no break, it breaks 6 inches. I see a ball outside it goes straight. I'm lost. Tips?
  3. My wife and I are going to Scotland at the end of the month. Not a golf vacation but this is the 3rd time we've been, we love it, and I've never played golf there. Want to try to squeeze in a round this time. We are splitting our time in Fort William and Dunvegan. Any recommendations? I would need to rent clubs as well. Thanks in advance.
  4. So, where did you come up with this caveat?
  5. Ungrateful [ uhn-greyt-fuh l ] adjective unappreciative; not displaying gratitude; not giving due return or recompense for benefits conferred:
  6. I have it on good authority that Tiger and his legal team are following this thread closely.
  7. If bartenders/bar owners can be held accountable then gun shop owners better buckle up.
  8. I would encourage this kid to quit. I would drive him to the pawnshop after the tournament and help him sell his clubs. I was trying to think of the equivalent of a 9 hole 97 in another high school sport and I'm coming up blank. Maybe throwing 23 interceptions in a half? Scoring 43 points for the other team in basketball?
  9. Not hard to understand. They work except when they don't. Pretty clear.
  10. So, they work except when they don't work? Do you work as a fitter?
  11. Pretty much every player I play with at my club that get new fitted clubs every year or two and their handicap stays the same and their ball stays in the rough. Several years ago, I drank the kool aid and was fitted for a driver shaft and saw no real, on the course difference. Look, I highly doubt we are gonna convince each other. Get a fitting, don't get one, it really doesn't matter to me. (spoiler: it probably won't to your score either) Full disclosure: i'm going for a tee fitting later today.
  12. Golf is all about confidence. If shiny new things give you confidence, it will help your score. We all fall victim to it.
