  1. Day 18 Work in sand traps. Used both 56º and 60º to get out of various trap settings. I was ale to get out of of deep sand near a lip and harder sand more out of fairway lies. Happy with the height of the shots and the decision of which club to use when
  2. Day 18 Cool morning, so the 5 minutes were taken up by physical warm-ups including 20 swings with the orange whip.
  3. Day 17 20 minutes chipping into a net, working on touch and direction A new religious right think tank thinks Jesus’ teachings are too liberal The Falkirk Center at Liberty University believes that "restoring and defending American ideals" means explicitly rejecting Christ’s teaching of turning the other cheek, among o ipping into a net
  4. Day 16, 4h and 5h work today. Nice and relaxed and very acceptable results.
  5. Day 15 Good day through the bag! Solid distance and dispersion, clubs all were within expectations. 90 shots, only one slice, two hook pulls, and one fat shot. if I had this result during a round, I would pay for all at the 19th hole!
  6. Day 13 Fell in love with my driver all over again! 30 shots today, average distance 230 yards, for me same at 360+ for Tiger in terms of joy! Fairly good dispersion! Nice roll! Improved speed for the weapon. May it act the same tomorrow on the round!
  7. Day 12 6i only, not too much of a pull left today. I was very happy as distance was solid. Watching my latest videos, I have seen how simple maladjustments to address and swing can creep in. I need to keep checking everything.
  8. Day 11 7i and driver, wit focus on ow far away I was setting up my address. I saw on a video that I was reaching on my address that my down swing was almost casting. So my last coaching session went over this. The results today were more than I expected. Only one mist in the 40 shots.
  9. Day 10 Only worked with 7i today. Getting all speed up to lower 80's with consistency and 10 more yards.
  10. Day 9 Ran through the 50º, 56º and 60º; fairly good results, better direction was solid.
  11. Day 8 30 each with 7i and driver to continue keeping the swings in sequence and not as pushed. Good swing speeds and solid distance was the result.
  12. Time today for a quick 9 hole jaunt. Many of my problems were the result of rushing myself! Course was 32.5/105 good conditions Shot 44, 15 putts, 5 penalty, only 25% fairways, 3 pars and 1 rather ugly double bogie. I needed to finish prior to heading off to a full scheduled day, I tended to not take as much time just before a shot to make sure I was truly ready to swing.
  13. Day 7 Arrived late for a 9 hole jaunt. So only had time to hit 10 practice shots and do about 10 minutes of physical warm ups. True, they did help in many ways; I wish I had more time.
  14. Day 6 20 minutes of working the sequence of a good swing, first slowly then speeding it up
  15. Day 5 Focused today on proper sequence of a full swing with my 7i and driver to get better ball and swing speeds at consistent levels. This week, ball speed has gained about 12-15 mph primarily as a result of making sure the right hip begins the process of the down swing. When it does not work well, it is more the result of brain fart meeting old body as much as anything else. Improved strikes with better speed resulted in about 15-29 yards. Not 100% automatic yet.
  16. Day 4 30 Driver whacks focusing on techniques to improve swing speed. Keeping hips fully involved for the most part.
  17. Day 3 6i, 7i, 9i and driver were put to work today. Working on foot position and keeping concentration on the ball. Focus tomorrow and the rest of the week will e working on improving ball speed.
  18. Day 1 of restart! Mainly a get the muscles moving day. 20 sots each with 5h, 6i and driver. OK at best, too wise of a dispersion. Tomorrow same clubs, with video.
  19. Started the year with Die Fledermaus
  20. End of 2019 was off, as an overly full schedule of sub teaching, work in suicide prevention,a pulled muscle, cool Phoenix weather, and even some rain, made getting out, even to a range, quite the adventure. I even hit a pause in days doing 5 minute daily. (will restart soon) My goals for 2020 are simple. As the year ended with much well in my game, just maintaining solid contact is the prime directive. I would like to gain an extra 10-15 mph ball speed. Continue to gain mastery of my PING G410+ and shaping shots with the hybrids and irons. ut, most importantly, to continue to have fun and share thoughts on TST.
  21. Should have posted this a few days ago. During break in the weather pattern, we had the chance to play the TPC Champion course in Scottsdale. And, my friend, who is a member, paid! Total 99, Putts 30, 6 penalties from out of bounds, 2 water penalties, 46% fairways Considering I never played there before, I felt fairly good. It was tough for me; I did not play it very well. The OB shots may simply be the result of trying to hit too hard. No rain that day, but, it was quite cool and the course itself was somewhat wet. I tended to pull it left; even the good shots were strong draws. Will play TPC and I will plan it to e a warmer drier day.
  22. A little cool and a few drops falling. Played forward tees (5578). Score 87, 10 penalties mainly on back 9 due to fatigue, mainly from sending a few swimming. 8 Par, 5 bogies, 5 doubles. 64% Fairways, 5 GIR. Good solid drives and short irons today. Penalties were a result to simply over swinging.
  23. Day 505 Rain ended, so I spent time with hitting my 6i and 7i and aiming at specific target lines. Results were not too off, though the 7i was a tad more successful. If rain holds, I will go through the weapons w/top tracker.
