As did I. And as far as not having enough people to be 2 deep? Doesn't make sense. Maybe I'm not understanding. UM ALWAYS has "enough people". Some kids would die to play at that school. Anyways, what's done is done and I think it's best for Mallett. Better for him then for Rich Rod and his arrogant ways. He got what he wants though, a mobile QB. It's just sad for me that he wasn't willing to change HIS ways. UM has historically pumped out some outstanding pro QB's but now Denard, Heisman/NC or not, will not be one of them. He'll go the way of Pat White. I like a coach that would rather build up a persons skill set and character then win just for the sake of winning then say, "See ya and good luck!" 3 years later. Denard would make a better RB. Just my opinion though. Imagine what could be done with Mallett under center AND Denard in the backfield. Mind bottling really.

I was under the impression that Rich Rod dropped Mallett to 2nd string. I agree the move was made primarily by Mallett, and a good one at that, but Rich Rod is a tool regardless. Spineless the way he left WV.

We played a #10 ranked team too. :) ....granted we were at home but still, I'll relish in the fact that we won handily when so many said we couldn't do it. :)

What happened to 'Bama, Texas, Penn State and a few others?! I mean, at the rest of them got their wins but if I was a player, fan, or coach I'd be worried. 'Bama will step it up after that near miss. I'm happy to see Mallett performing well though after Rich Rod tossed him aside. Good for him. PSU better have a good season. I swear if they crap out and have a garbage record by the time we play them I'll personally smack my buddy (PSU fan). lol

LOL! Nice. I'm so glad we're finally getting into conference play. That game against EMU was ridiculous. What a waste. I hope it doesn't get us in a mindframe to waltz through every week.
-
Hahaha. I hear it too. I have friends from all over the South. I feel worse for my friends and fam that for one reason or another have mover to FL, Cali, Texas, SC, Alabama, and Georgia. LOL
-
Then by all means, for the conference homers, post it again. LOL! Even when my team is down I don't blame the conference or division they're in. I'm a Buckeye fan first and foremost and they're the only team I follow religiously but I'm also a Cowboys fan, Reds fan, Blue Jackets fan, and Bulls fan. Blech!

I'm not here to argue SEC vs. Big Ten. Why? Because I care more about my TEAM then my conference. These last few posts prove what I said a few pages back. SEC fans always preach conference dominance. Worry about what YOUR team can do. Also, I will say again, it's all cyclical. The "top SEC teams won't be the top teams for very long...then they will again. It comes and goes. Currently the Big Ten has 6 top 25 teams. I'm not counting Nebraska since they're not officially Big Ten yet. The SEC has....6 top 25 teams. Yes, the SEC's are currently ranked higher and yes, I would, as an OSU fan say that as of right now the SEC is a slightly better conference but they're declining and they know it. I love it when SEC teams lose to lower tier B10 teams such as Florida vs. UM. Just makes my heart feel good like when I eat warm vegetable soup in the winter.

How so? Also, some reads on loudest stadiums: Numero Uno Numero Dos Numero Tres Numero Quatro Numero Cinco Again, I've never been to a big game outside The Horseshoe so I can't vouch. I'd love to say that against USC with over 106,000 in attendance and EVERYONE on their feet bouncing enough to literally shake the stadium that we have the loudest, and once again if I did I'd have to do so with a homer attitude. Dang it! Looks like Autzen may not have the single loudest but from what I can gather they are louder more consistently than most. They definitely have a solid foundation for an arguement.
-
How so? Are you talking preseason? Preseason rankings suck.
-
Agreed that it's tough, but if you're like me and haven't been to ALL of the others on the list how are you certain it's worthy? Those guys travel to games and some of them ask players and coaches how hard it is to play/coach in those environments. As for asking Ohio State? I fully agree. I hate that we have to go to Wisky AND Iowa at night. Not our strong points. Hopefully our D stays strong in the tougher games. They looked good against Miami. We'll see. Good luck to you and your boys. I'd love to go visit some of the stadiums but money is always an issue. Plus most people outside of Columbus aren't too welcoming of ANY OSU fan without even giving them a chance to see if they're a tool or not. When I went to the USC game last year I saw some Trojan fans before the game walking around. Didn't say a word to them and even let them enter before me. Another group however got in our faces, literally, and started chanting, cussing, etc. I'm cordial until given a reason not to be. For us OSU fans though we ALL get lumped into the same category by 99% of the other fans. Oh well, haters gonna hate.

Once again I agree with KK. I, as a Big 10 teams fan, of course wanted to see Iows prevail. Good showing by AZ. Congrats. As for one of the toughest? Sorry, evidence says otherwise. Evidence A Evidence B Evidence C Evidence D Evidence E Sorry, but Arizona doesn't come close to touching the stadiums on those lists. I think it's great that you have an awesome amount of pride in your team/school but don't let a homeristic attitude cloud your vision of the facts. You don't want to get mistaken for....well, just read through the last few pages. As I said, as a HUGE OSU fan, I don't think Pryor deserves the Heisman as of right now. The "homer" in me would say "HE'S THE BEST PLAYER EVER! YOUR TEAM SUCKS!" but realistically he's not. I hope this makes sense and doesn't come across as a jab. EDIT: WOOHOO! After looking through one of the sites I linked to above I came across THIS! *cues TBDBITL to strike up the fight song* Hahaha.

Great points. The only one I would think of debating is that Denard Robinson is amazing. Well, not that he's a great player, but he's NOT a great QB. He's a stellar RB but his receivers have WAY inflated his passing stats (credit to them btw). His "60 yards passes" are dump passes that the receivers turn into great plays. He just gets the padded stats. His arm is WAY too inconcistent to continually put up 150-200 yard passing games and his mind is ALWAYS on his feet. "Where is the gap? I'm going for it!" Watch him very closely. You'll also notice he eyeballs his intended receiver the whole play. His never checks his reads so if his #1 guy is covered he's off. This got Pryor in some trouble a couple years back. You think if he's eyeballing his guy and lets the pigskin fly our D won't snatch it up? Not to mention the other real teams they have to play. Don't get me wrong, the kid is good. He has feet that are faster than his mind and an arm that's weaker than his hit. UM has played Conneticut (55th ranked D), Notre Dame (102nd ranked D), and UMass (not even worth mentioning since they aren't FBS). They have yet to play Ohio State (7th ranked D), Iowa (18th ranked D), Penn State (34th ranked D) and Wisconsin (25th ranked D). Robinson will not throw for 200 and rush for 300 against these teams. He will be contained and be forced to actually play the QB position. Rich Rod will wish he'd never run Ryan Mallet (who did pretty well last week) off. I predict UM loses 5+ games and Robinsons end of season stats are average. He could prove me wrong, it's happened only once or twice before (yeah right, lol), but I don't think he will. I can't wait until we play them. I've seen much more experienced and confident QB's play us only to suffer the whole game. Time will tell. QFT. I don't think Ingram should have won it last year. He's a great player but it is what it is. I would love for TP to bring OSU another and keep us as one of the Heisman forerunners but he'd better perform as he did against The U for the rest of the season and win the Big 10 all in a VERY convincing manor or I myself would not pick him.

This. If you want to compare last 10 seasons? It'd be closer and I'd probably give Florida the edge at 6-7 games. Overrall though, as I compared them? Ohio State hands down. Whether you're a fan of either teams or not you'd be an idiot to say Florida. HISTORICALLY, OVERRALL, Ohio State owns Florida. Did you even read through the links I posted? If so you wouldn't be continuing this charde. ...then again, maybe you would. Who knows. EDIT: Also, I still don't understand why you're so butthurt over me talking to a Michigan fan over them being 3-0 the last two seasons and their possible outcome this year. Oh well. Any chance to stifle the cries of a Florida fan can brighten my day. Fair. I have a buddy who is a Clemson fan. Originally from there. Also likes Michigan. Lives and works in Columbus. LOL!

I think I love you. Don't tell my wife. Yes historically better. Here is my proof. Please try to read it this time. Thanks.

1) If you weren't bothered you wouldn't reply. 2) I'm not arguing anything. I'm just stating facts is all. 3) Proving one team historically better than another using stats is not opinion. It's fact. 4) I'm not superior to anyone. I have proved my point better though. 5) Ambient noise helps me sleep at night. Have a nice day and a great season watching NCAAFB.

I have no clue who you are, who you root for, and see you from SC, but I love the responses. :) There is a saying KK. "Those who don't get it don't get that they don't get it." :D

Me too. I even love vacaying in TN. :) I'm glad Kiffin is gone. He'll fit in much better at USC. I already see MORE trouble in their future. lol Agreed on all accounts. I love college football. It's really just the incessant drivel of the fans (yes, even some OSU fans) that is annoying. Actually you said they won it 12 times. Good edit though. :) I'm saying all things are cyclical. From whenst we came so shall we return. SEC will not dominate for eternity. And I wasn't aware this was a "debate". From wiki: Debate or debating is a formal method of interactive and representational argument. I have yet to see any representational arguement from your side. Just a lot of opinion, which is fine, just don't state it as fact. ;) So you're picking and choosing which stats to read? Nice. Thank you for once again proving you're defenseless. You bring up 1 convict after I list 30? Hmmmm...I don't know how Florida math works. Recount the votes. We have hanging chads. I think 30 > 1 though. Ummm...they have turned down offers to play here historically. That's not crap. That's what we call "fact". Google it. Also, reading comprehension is your friend. To quote myself: Just like JJ Reddick. I actually like Tebow as a person but he won't be an elite pro QB. For the record last years superbowl was won by a Big 10 QB over an SEC QB and before that the Steelers won on a Big 10 receivers catch from a QB from Ohio. That's really irrelevant to this with the exception of fueling the fire in gators panties. :P Shaky and undecided. It's too early. They lost alot. I don't know if they'll make a BCS game this year or not. THANK YOU! It may be low but after the way Florida rode his shoulders and enshrined him it was good to see he is in fact human. Also, he's not a great NFL style QB. As far as "there is not a coach out there that would not want him on his team"? Ummm.... I can think of 24 that didn't. Homerism yet again. It never fails. You don't see me saying Troy Smith is the best NFL QB. Lay off the kool aid brother. I like him too but good luck. I hope he proves me wrong but I'll chalk him up there with Brady Quinn, Troy Smith and Matt Leinart as elite college QB's who just aren't made for the NFL. We know. He was pointing out that I was comparing Michigans first 3 games to Michigans first 3 games. You come in comparing apples to peaches. Keep it in the south. Ohio States only conference loss last year was to Purdue. Do you ever think or do any research before you speak? This. Well said. Thank you once again. The proof is in the pudding gator13.
-
You'd figure if he's such a big fan he'd get off the internet and help his center and QB work on snaps or something. Hahahaha!
-
Obviously he chose to ignore my post of facts. Typical homerism. :P Did you see OSU and Tenn are doing a home/away in a few years? :) I've always liked Tenn. We'll see what happenes when the time comes. Uh oh...Ohio State scheduled an SEC team for the regular season. Looks like gator boy just ahd another "fact" blow up in his face. :) I'm glad ALL SEC fans aren't total scrote's. I know you feel all OSU fans are but I respect a good conference and a good team. I DON'T respect haters and homers. I'm looking at YOU Mark May! lol

I never talked trash. It was friendly banter between myself and a Michigan fan who was excited over a 3-0 start....which is where they were at this time last year before they fell apart. I never said OSU was great to him, only that UM hadn't played ANYBODY when we already played a ranked team, something Florida hasn't even done. Then you come in and get all in a hissy. Apparently 1 victory over us allows you to proclaim dominance. Give me a break. Also, yours "just in the past 12 years" comment makes absolutely zero sense. It's not even worthy of trying to defend as I cannot decypher what point it is you are trying to make. Talk all you want about Steele's strength of schedule rating, (which I know you had to google, I can do that too). In the end we're playing more ranked teams. Also, with the addition of traditional powerhouse Nebraska and a conference championship game I predict we'll see the downward spiral of the SEC continue. Rest easy in knowing that when you return to power in 5-10 years you'll get to beat your chest again. Most things are cyclical. For the elite teams it's not however. Elite teams "bad seasons" are 2-3 losses tops. Now, PLEASE, for your sake, read through the links posted and realize you have no ground to stand on. You're not helping yourself at all. Stop chasing me, you won't last.

Man I wish I had gotten my post up earlier to prevent the nonsense that spews from your fingertips. We walked through our schedule to play Texas? They were our 2nd game both seasons. Fail #1. We lost to them? Once. We beat them more recently than they beat us. Fail #2. Why don't we schedule SEC teams? We have tried. They decline. Get up here in cold, rainy weather and play us. We're not scared. SEC teams only play in their back yard. Even in bowl games we played on your turf. Against LSU we played in Louisiana for crying out loud. Get off your high horse. It's legs are broken. Read my previous post and please, PLEASE stick to golf. College football smack talk doesn't work for you. EDIT: Before I forget, why are you throwing out the 0-9 bowl game bit? It's tired. Either you're a Florida fan or you're an SEC fan. What has YOUR team done against us? Won 1 NCG. Convincingly I will admit. Other than that you've been sub-par throughout history. EDIT 2: Yup, your schedule will get harder. 3 ranked teams. Nail biter. Be careful finishing your season with App State and Florida State. Scary... What's that? What's our schedule like? Oh... just 5 ranked teams. Who do we end with? 2 RANKED conference rivalries. EDIT 3: Good article showing SEC homerism and why players choose Ohio State over SEC teams. "I thought Ohio State had more to offer," Heyward (right) said in late August, after the team's final scrimmage. "They weren't just worried about football. It was preparing me for life. It just felt like a family here, with all of the tradition that goes around here." Now, if you're gonna call "class in session" please have something to inform or educate on as I have. Otherwise...class dismissed.

I just did some enlightening reading and wish to share. Sure OSU has it's faults, everyone does. No we're not elitist. There are, have been, and on any given season can be better teams. For any Florida fan to pull that elitist bullcrap is laughable. When an Alabama fan on here is cordial and the FL fan wants to point fingers it really puzzles me. Alabama, like OSU, USC, Oklahoma, UM, ND, and a few others I would call all time "elite" programs. Florida on the other hand would go with Georgia, Wisconsin, Oregon, Penn State, and some more on the level of "great" programs. I'll take this opportunity to share what I have found. Florida National Championships Ohio State National Championships Florida Heisman Trophy Winners Ohio State heisman Trophy Winners Floridas current head coach is from Ohio. Ohio States current head coach is from Ohio. Floridas Undefeated Seasons (Don't give me that 1911 with a tie bullcrap) Ohio States Undefeated Seasons Floridas Conference Championships Ohio States Conference Chapionships Urban Meyer has just two more SEC wins then players arrested in his tenure at UF. I'll stop there. I sincerely hope you, and anyone else interested, read through every link and compared. Please, for the sake of your school and your conference, let the 'Bama fan represent from now on. Thank you and have a great day. :)

Um....yes. Our schedule thus far > Michigan's schedule thus far. As a matter of fact, it's also been harder than Floridas schedule thus far. Thanks for playing though. Give me a call in 10 more years when you find another Tebow and are relevant. Wait...even he lost to a sub-par Michigan team. Nevermind. :P EDIT: Didn't that same Michigan team that beat "Super Tebow" and squad lose to App State? Yeah....that just happened. Remember: We have scheduled and played Texas, Miami, USC, and will be playing Oklahoma in a home and away. We also schedule Washington when they were contenders but by the time it rolled around they had fallen off the map. Yes we play cupcake in state schools...who doesn't? It helps them get some limelight and good revenue. That doesn't mean we don't TRY to schedule reg season games with BCS opponents. Most of them don't want to travel north and play in the cold (see 65 degree) weather. I also feel they're afraid of The Shoe. Ask USC and Texas what it was like to play there at night. SEC homerism squashed once again. Class dismissed. Thank you. My point exactly.
