  1. I've only played Safari. It was pretty nice.
  2. Agreed with all above. Boise St, even if they run the table and do so convincingly, would turn the NCG into a debacle not unlike the Georgia vs. Hawaii game from a couple years back. They're just not an elite program. I like them but as I told a freiend the other day, "A mule can work hard and make a good showing for 5 years but in the end he is what he is. A plow puller. He's not winning the Kentucky Derby." That being said, providing my Bucks make it again, let's hope Pryor doesn't take a Troy Smith-like buffet trip every day for a month before the bowl game and add a second or more to his 40. :)
  3. That's ok. You can disagree. I'm not saying all kids are bad. While I don't have kids of my own I have been a youth pastor for 3+ years and worked with inner city kids and also with more priviledged kids. The more priviledged, i.e. ones that would be brought up in a home pushing a game like golf, are the ones more prone to have that sense on entitlement. I've also had to work with kids with many different problems. I'm talking 8-10 year olds that try to get into drugs, steal anything they can get their hands on, demean women, etc. Not all kids are "very honest and sincerely interested in doing the right thing." Sorry, but I have to strongly disagree with you strongly disagreeing with me. :) I do agree that it's mainly adults problems though. When a kid at the age of 10 wants a cell phone becuase all their friends have one and the parent gets them one whats that tell them? "I deserve this." Parents in my generation (again, this doesn't mean ALL parents so don't twist it that way) don't know how to raise kids. It's sad really. Not all kids are bad so don't take what I said that way. I just wish that kids as a whole were taught better than that. You work for what you want. You haven't earned anything material by merely existing. Take pride in yourself and your work ethic. Try to better yourself and those around you. I hate when little leagues give trophies to every kid. It's ridiculous. (I'm sure someone will disagree with that too but that's ok. It's just one man's opinion. :)) Sorry I'm so cynical. :)
  4. It's a sad world we live in and kudos to the kid. Not many kids these days have morals like they. They all feel entitled to everything.
  5. Exactly. It's hard to be "fair" with 120 teams, most of which think they should go if they have 2 losses or less. I'll say this much, I'd much rather we play Boise St in the NCG (if we make it) than Alabama. :)

Personal opinion. Funny thing is mine doesn't stray too far from this either. Gotta love forums. Teh interwebz is srus biznz! lol
  7. I think that if they did go it'd be like Hawaii vs. Georgia. Everyone hyping Hawaii but then Georgia womps on them. Boise St. is good but not Championship caliber.

Still applies. I'm still not angry. :)

Ok, ok Tn. We get it. Your swinging from Silvas. It's all good. We're allowed not to like him and he CERTAINLY hasn't earned my respect. Who is making excuses now? Oh yeah...Silva and his fans. Again. :) Look, it's all good. It's just a matter of personal tastes and opinion. I can respect that you like him and I've even admitted he's a good fight. It's ok to disagree. You may prefer one club and I another. You may prefer baseball and me football. It's all gravy. :) His time IS coming though, and soon. LOL (personal opinion of course.)
  10. In bowl games. I believe our total record is 3-11-1 overall. Still not pretty. I'll admit that we struggle against the SEC as a conference. The thing that bugs me is the SEC teams have the only fans I know that would rather chear for a conference when they know their team gives them no grounds to stand on. For example: A VERY close friend of mine is an Auburn fan. We jab back and forth, all in good fun, but when he starts talking and I say we're better and back my claims with historical fact he resorts to "Ohio State is 0-9 against the SEC in bowl games!" OK? How many of those were Auburn? That's what I thought. Shut up. :) It's all good. Fandom is fandom and everyone has a claim for why this team or conference is better than that. Arguements can be had until everyone is blue in the face. In the end, as long as you back your TEAM and don't jump on the bandwaggon, good for you. :)
  11. I guess rampid fires that destroy are funny then. My bad. I didn't get that memo.

Just like the favoritism Silva got in the 3rd round when he was on his knees and NOT defending himself while Sonnen was on his back? He was allowed to lay and rest for 45 seconds. His hands were BOTH UNDER his head with his face tucked. He did NOTHING to defend or make a move to retreat and it should have been called then. Should have been Ref stoppage. Silva got lucky. I hope he gets knocked out. He will be exposed. He's definitely one of the best ever, I'll admit that easily. When he starts going downhill though he'll go downhill FAST. Besides, let's toss him and GSP in together. THAT'S a fight I wanna see! :)

He is a VERY gifted fighter. That being said, I can't stand him. I can't stand his attitude. I can't stand the way he treats people. That's all. He's a good fighter, and a terrible jerk of a person. I also don't like anyone that runs their mouth NON-STOP, i.e. Rampage, Koschek, etc.

:) I agree to an extent. I don't know enough about the belts to make a fair judgement call though and I'll freely admit that. I am curretnly training with a former fighter (who may soon again become an active fighter) so I'm gonna ask him about this. Again, it's just b/c I'm curious and always looking to broaden my knowledge base. :) PS ~ I'm glad Penn lost and can't wait for the day Silva loses. :)
  16. Also, does anyone else actually stretch before and after? I mean legit stretching. Not just swinging a club back and forth or twisting your spine around. I have found it helps me tremendously. Just as with any athletic endeavor.
  17. Haha. I'm just a poor personal banker from the mid-west. I paid $3.00 for a bratwurst at a crap course Sunday and didn't really want to accept that it happened. :)
  18. However many are in a large bucket usually. Depends on time really. If my arms hurt or I feel fatigued I just work on short game. Grab a 9 iron or pitching wedge, pick a spot, and try easy, controlled swings. Who says you have to crush every shot? You don't on the course. :)
  19. :( Better than my best on 9 of 58. :) Good shooting. Sounds like if nothing else it was fun and that's what it should be. :)
  20. Noted. I wouldn't mind playing more private courses due to upkeep but can't justify the price difference in some of them. Also, when I pull up in my Jetta, although extremely clean, I have gotten looks from Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes owners. No joke. My cousins and other fam have Lexus'. Maybe I should make them drive. :) I also agree that on muni's people are generally just out to drink beer and shoot the shat. Not always, but it happens. I prefer the semi-privates that have a great staff, nice clubhouse, and enforce the rules and courtesies that come along with the game while ensuring a comfortable, relaxing round of golf. I don't feel pressured to impress anyone with my game and I tend to play better. I'm always worried on a private course that someone is lurking in a sniper tower watching my every move and if I make the slightest divot (although I ALWAYS repair mine no matter what course I'm playing) I'll be promplty escorted out. :)
  21. Brett Favor.

Have you ever fought on a professional or semi-professional level? FYI, not angry or disputing your claim, just curious.
  23. Like some of the others the courses here are open unless covered. Some will allow you to play in the snow or even do a charity event/fund raiser. Other than that we either go here or do like last year and travel. Went to the Sand Hills region in NC in Feb. Will probably go again this coming year.
  24. Good for him. :) This is just one of the shirts I'm planning on getting for christmas. It has a collar. :)
  25. This. :) PM sent.
