I have decided to work on my game this year and maybe break into the 90’s. I’m sure there is a long list of things wrong with my current swing, but one thing stands out to me right now that I’ve struggled with correcting:
On the backswing, the club is in a pretty good plane with respect to the ball, the handle mostly points towards the ball and even at the top of the swing, the club points reasonably towards the target. However when I start the downswing, the angle of the club steepens and the handle points closer to my shoes than the ball. I’ve been unable to determine what part of the transition is causing the angle to change, my wrists don’t appear to rotate.
