  1. Been doing stretching w massage therapist does : Pulls both arms at same time ..til I feel in tri- biceps & shoulders Each leg is pushed up.as high as possible so I feel a stretch in quads & glutes Tot time 20 min

  3. Since I'm 68 & my distance (after 3 back surgeries) has diminished I stay away fr the longer higher slope Championship type courses. Thank God there's reasonable public courses suitable for the average player.
  4. I agree 100% on the 3 footers. I practice those alot because I CANT STAND missing them. I also work on the lag putts 20 - 30 ft w the goal of getting a short 1-3ft 2nd putt. "KEEP IT IN THE SHORT GRASS "
  5. Thank you for your comments. I agree with in making the shots around the green. I want to add that I've tried many clubs chipping just 10 -20 yds..fr the pin. I generally use a 8i , 56W, and recently a "Chipper ". Fr 40 -50 yds.. out I feel more confident than the aforementioned chip. But I'm working more now on that short chip.   6. Scoring avg about 71.7 on any given week on the tour. PUTTS AVG. 28 - 30 ( 1.67 per hole ) Wedges/ Chips/ Pitch/ 14-16 total >> 42 - 46 Par 72 -42 = 30 shots = 58% short game PROS SPEND EQUAL TIME ON.LONG & SHORT GAME
  7. Thank you I will ck out Game Golf. I currently use mscorecard. I then enter in a Notepad on Smartphone things like chip/ pitch dist off the green/;club. As also 1st putt dist fr hole 2nd putt dist.
  8. Most of the women are in pretty good shape. I like watching because they have to hit more different clubs .
  9. When will the USGA / R & A pullback the ball distance. What will we have a 800 yd par 5 ? It's silly right now. Driver wedge - Driver- wedge .BORING !!
  10. Thank you again. I just wanted to add that I miscalculated my current practice time on the short game its 75% now. Like you when I was healthier it was the reverse.
  11. HUTThank you for your comments. I know no longer Tee fr the White but rather the senior Silver tee. It works out because I play exclusively during the weekdays & most players are seniors. I keep pace w most players. Yes I thoroughly enjoy the game . After my fusion surgery in 2013 I gave my clubs to my Dr. Who got me walking again. I moved fr cold NY to warm Az. After 3 years I felt better & got some used clubs and stayed on the driving range & putting green for 6 months. I stated to play my score was up &.distance down. But I loved & missed it so much I stu

  14. I met Gary about 20 yrs ago at a Charity Skins Game . He is a picture of health. Back then I could hit the ball 50 yds. Farther than now (68 back fusion. Now I have too practice the short game more. By doing so I can score the same or lower than 20 yrs ago. Thanks Mr. Player for the great tip.
  15. Thanks again for your comments. I do have an app where I keep FIR GIR PUTTS U& D Yes when you dont hit many GIR you will have more U & D chances ...I value conversions & GIR the most

  17. Thank you for your feedback . I'm increasing my time each week. I'm probably 60/40 right now . You inspired me to go higher.
  18. What % of time do you practice fr 100 - 50- 25 yds. & Putting? Do you keep track of Sandies- U& D & Putts?
  19. Been there done that. If it's a name brand you can sell on PGA Value, 2nd swing or 3 balls.com Good luck I love my wedges have a 50, 56, 60 & 65. Been working on my short game. Since I'm 68 my distance isn't going up. I can save alot of shots fr 100 yds in.
  20. WHave you tried a 3- 7 HL rather than 3W -7W The higher launch angle gets airborne off the fairway & higher softer into the green

  22. Great weather today ( 75 in Az) Went to the range to correct my hook. A woman pro teacher had a 1 min. Video on THE GRIP Both thumbs on shaft at (12 O CLOCK)= NEUTRAL both thumbs @ (2 O'Clock) = STRONG both thumbs at (11 O'clock ) = weak. I prefer hitting a draw since I'm 68 with a disabled & lost 50 yds in distance since . I found the Neutral - fade at (1 o clock) would produce a straight or slight draw ) I did try the weak grip & it did produce a fade ...produced a slight fade( may use for a dogleg right ) but for the most part didnt feel co
