  1. Try to score a new or slighty used set of Mizunos on ebay. I just got a very nice used set of mp60's on ebay for a steal. Cut muscle, half blade half cavity back. I have never been a big fan of the Callaway Irons but its about you not me. Tryout some Titleist forged and the Mizzies... The Cleveland CG7 tour black pearls look pretty sweet. Try them too and report back, I'm curious abt them. Lol.
  2. What are your distances on the 17 and 19 hybrids? You must have to hit a lot of 180 plus shots for all those hybrids.
  3. Since these 2 drivers come from the same parent company, the descriptions seem to be identical and shape wise look identical. Would one be safe to purchase either one? Anyone hit them both? Expierence? Opinions? I'm starting do think of possibly replacing the 907. Ping i15, 909d3 or S9-1 Pro D
  4. Above poster; yes. The shaft length is what is giving you the extra distance. Hybrid shafts also tend to be heavier too. To replace a 5wood I would go with 19 or 20. Don't worry about what # hybrid its called, unimportant issue. I had a cft ti 19* that I used to carry instead of a 5 wood, was a 230-240 club. Actually the club I holed out from 235 for a dbl eagle. (Was going to bronze it, but just sold it on ebay) I have a buddy who has a 19 degree hybrid with a 5 wood shaft and he murders the ball with it. $0.02 from me
  5. Scratch that..... Just won a set of MP 60's on ebay...... SCORE!!!!!!
  6. you still have the 735's? willing to sell? I think im going to go with the 735's..... or keep the 762's till I find something that knocks my socks off.
  7. Keb, I had a 2h but just sold it on ebay. It was another one of those clubs a barely used. If the 3 wood was too long ( which was rare ) then I would use that ( which was rarer ). 2 off the most useless clubs Ive had. Although I just played some courses in AZ where I had to use # wood instead of driver but that is a once a year trip
  8. Did a wedge fitting thing on Clevelands website. Their fitting system had some serious gaps in it too. They were heavy in the 110-125 yard area with only about 8 yards between a 46/50/54. They told me I should use a 58 with high bounce which they called at about 60y. I have a freind who carries 3 wedges + pw and his short game is not remarkable to me. Hes a 8-9 capper as well.
  9. Another variable in this is my current sets pw is 46* and the 2 sets ive narrowed down to replace them has a pw loft of 47* that shld help. How much does it cost to have wedges bent?
  10. I cant hit a 60... Dont know why and it probably all mental. I was also thinking about dumping my 3w (i rarely use it) and going to a 17* 4 wood instead and grabbing another wedge in between my 51 and 56. I can make most of the shots i need with the 56.
  11. Ok, my second post, I have a problem with a yardage gap. Here are my yardage now: 3w-240-250 3h-210-220 4i-190-200 5i-180-190 6i-170-180 7i-160-170 8i-150-160 9i-140-150 pw-125-135 51-110-120 56-75-90 I have a cpl holes and im not sure how to fill them... I am more comfortable taking a full swing, if that makes a difference. Do I grab another wedge or a 5w/2h? Opinions?
  12. Have 5 sets of irons ending in the next 12 hrs on good ole ebay.... I will let you know if i don't win any of them.
  13. rifle/dg/ns? how much no bag?
  14. the s59's are on the bottom of the list of the three. Mizuno or Titleist? Such a tough decision......
  15. I guess my real concern would be to go with the 1 degree upright or not. Been playing standard clubs so long and being fit once having the result be standard. Ping fitting says 1up / standard length. Should I try the upright in the Titleists?
  16. I have donated two of them to the pond on red #5 @ ives grove, 1 to the woods at Johnsons Park. I cant hit it, tried and tried just cant do it. I have found i dont need it. Personal preferrence.
  17. Ok, so I am thinking about getting rid of my DCI 762's after 8 years. I am a solid ball striker, low ball flight.... Not much of a shot shaper, can hit the draw or fade but prefer to just change the height as needed. Looking for a good set of irons to replace the 762's and these are my narrowed choices. Ping S59- Cast, minimal offset, ping fitting says im a blue dot... paid to have it done and they said im a standard/standard 735cm- Forged, minimal offset, cavity to muscle mp 30- cut muscle, great reputation Have dg300's in the 762's. Curious about the project x's. Feedback would be appreciated.
  18. Had a 905, bought the 907d2, hit my buddies 909comp.... 905-Nice driver I needed a different shaft 907-Proforce v2, I hit this thing a mile 909-Sounded weird when you hit it kinda like the old callway erc You're call, the head never matters much to me, for me its about the shaft. So make sure that is a good fit for you and the rest will be history
  19. I used to carry a 19* and 21*. Swing is different now, went from 6 to 9 (couldnt play for a year and a half) Have to change the club configuration now.... Point is, you may have to play around with it for a while till you figure out what works best for you. I jumped on the hybrid train when they first came out and will never go back to my 3 iron.
