  1. Day 3 (4/30/21): Same as yesterday, too windy outside. Worked on Day 6 of the COVID drills - Basic Chipping.
  2. Day 1 (4/28/21): Reset, went away for a few days and wasn't able to practice. Worked on posture, using the post on "Good Golf Posture" by mvmac as a reference.
  3. Notes: 9 holes 4/20/21 Driver: No driver today. Driving iron was my go to club off the tee, short course and tight fairways. Contact was solid, accuracy was good. I need work on picking better starting lines. This club produces a consistent draw. All my missed fairways were a few feet to the left in the rough, I would've hit those fairways I started the ball more to the right. Pick better start lines. Irons: Ball striking was good, solid contact and no chunks. One pull on a short par 3 and no chunks (success!). Really need to work on distance control, lots of missed b
  4. Day 6 (4/20/21): Worked on driver setup and takeaways. Tuesday night league 9 hole round.

Goals 2021: Stop getting into trouble off the tee, establish confidence in my driver - two way miss Improve long & short iron striking, consistency Improve short game - pitching & chipping (getting closer to the hole, leaving myself to far away on those shots) Know the distance of my clubs Break 90 consistently

  7. Now I know what you mean by "whoosh". I used your approach above this evening and had very good results. I had a few chunks, but didn't have one the rest of the round after using your approach.

  9. Thanks for the feedback! What do you mean by a "whoosh"? I try to hit the ball first, but some shots I end up hitting behind the ball. I can almost feel it before it happens. It's either from bending too much at the knees on my backswing or not rotating with my hips during my backswing. But I don't if that's what's causing it. I'm somewhat familiar with the ball flight laws, but I need to review them. I think that'll be a great place to start. I like the idea of using an alignment stick in the ground to sort out my path.   12. I've been Playing Golf for: 10 years My current handicap index or average score is: 90s My typical ball flight is: Volatile. Irons - Typically straight with a slight draw, sometimes with a slight fade. Never really know which way it's gonna go. Driver - Mostly a fade, when I hit a good one. Really inconsistent and never know where it's gonna go. The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Chunks and pulls I've got a case of the chunks and I don't know how to cure it.   13. Day 2 (4/16/21): Was hoping to get to the range today, but that didn't work. Did some mirror work focusing on grip and setup. Then worked on Day 4 and 5 of the COVID-19 practice plan.
  14. Day 1 (4/15/21): Realized I've been ignoring my grip and setup lately. I reviewed Mvmac's video on grip and worked on getting used to that feeling of the club in my fingers. I also spent about 5 minutes this morning working on my setup when addressing the ball and mixing in some Day 1 COVID-19 practice drills.
  15. Hey All, New member from Southeastern PA. I've visited The Sand Trap a few times while searching for some quick fixes for my very broken golf game. Well instead of trying to find those quick fixes, I'm going to make a real effort in improving my game this year. What better way to do that than joining The Sand Trap. (Actually, lessons is probably the correct answer.) So last year was the best year of golf I've had since I started playing. I broke 90 twice and that's it, very exciting year.
