  2. I don't know if you have read the bible or not, but this is a common topic throughout. Peter 3:7 - Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered. Corinthians is even worse.
  3. Yes you could - but how weak of a person do you have to be to praise and thank god for your success, rather than admitting that you put the hard work in, and the accomplishment is your own that you achieved. You did it, not god. I almost feel a sense of sadness when I see guys praise their deity after winning, then the next week, where they miss the cut, the blame immediately shifts to themselves. All I get from that is 'All good comes from God, all failures are my own'. What a self deprecating lifestyle. BTW, Ernie Els is a nut for thinking 2 birdies can not come from a golf bal
  4. I don't agree with this in the slightest, and the second highlighted part specifically - but this is not the thread for this.
  5. My point is, there is no need to thank their deity, when there is no proof that any aforementioned deity exists, or had any impact what so ever. And if said deity is proved to exist, wouldn't it be part of said deity's plan anyway? So any sense of achievement is then worthless as it was pre planned. The same can not be said for a swing coach, wife or caddy.
  6. I'll take Nobilo's instruction over Chamblee's any day
  7. When Brandel starts talking about anything to do with a golf swing - I throw up a little in my mouth. He needs to stick to the politics and drama, and leave the instruction for people who know what they're talking about.
  8. 1. Rory McIlroy 2. Jason Day 3. Tiger Woods 4. Graham DeLaet 5. KJ Choi
  9. Many iterations of Pale Blue Dot by Carl Sagan - but this is one of my favourites Crucial to watch this every now and then to put everything into perspective.
  10. Bubba Watson for sure. He looks to be crying half the time he's playing bad and complains constantly. Another one for me is any player that rambles on about his/her deity after winning. They never thank their deity after losing.
  11. Has Chamblee publicly stated why he doesn't like it? I would be curious to see his reasoning
  12. The more I read the more I move towards confidence than arrogance. Still a firm believer he shouldn't wear red on Sundays. Tiger doesn't own those colors but seriously?
  13. If you watch his press conference after the Cadillac on pgatour.com - it's painfully arrogant. I would link it, but the new pgatour.com website is utter sh!t
  14. Seeing as the Doral thread is being consumed with such talk.....
  15. "The best player ever to live when I was growing up wore black pants, a red shirt," Reed said. "I was growing up watching him. I always thought, `You know, it would be cool to wear black and red coming down on Sunday. Just happens to be that we both wear it on Sunday now." - Patrick Reed Ergh.....
  16. I need to quit......argh
  17. 13 grips. Winn Dri-Tac Red and Black Should look nice with the Coverts
  18. Making good progress on my downswing and my setup. I'm holding the club open and almost scooping at impact because I've been fighting pulls for so long. Getting pretty excited And I don't want to sound like a Taylormade commercial - but when I got to my lesson I was hitting my 7 iron 160-165, and had been like this for the last 6 months. By the end of this lesson, I was hitting it 185-190. It was unreal. I have never hit the ball so crisp. Worked more on setup and plane.. More knee flex ( less upright ), stood a little further form the ball. You can clearly see in the first video
  19. Meh, I don't like Reed. Yes, he's good and proved himself - we know that. He doesn't need to remind us of how good he is or compare himself to the real greats - he is nowhere near that. And although Sunday red doesn't 'belong' to Tiger. He's got a cock on him to wear those colors.
  20. Two players under par. So many players are still in this tournament.
  21. Anyone else notice Mahan has packed on the pounds?
