  1. The Gentlemen My wife really loved this movie, but it was a bit slow compared to other Guy Ritchie films. The "gang" activity seemed kind of forced. Scramble for par.
  2. Nope. I use my 58° and 54° a lot, but neither one more than the other. I also use my PW and GW, as well as my 9 and 8 irons. That said, my short game was a hot mess yesterday, but I haven't been on a course in a while.
  3. Second hole - 269 yard Par Four - Stonemont Course @ Stone Mountain Golf Club. After bunting a three wood down the middle of the fairway, I hit a nine iron to the front edge, leaving myself a sixty-plus foot putt for birdie. I took my time and got the line and speed almost perfect, leaving a nine inch tap in for par. That would be the only highlight of an otherwise miserable day of ballstriking.
  4. I shot 107. It was on the Stonemont course at Stone Mountain yesterday, which I had never played. It was also the first time I'd been on a golf course in a couple of months due to a back injury. I started off pretty well, with a bogey on the first (the hardest hole on the course according to the starter), a par, followed by another bogey. Then I went double, quad, triple, double, triple, double to round out the front. Overall, I hit nine fairways, but my approaches were dismal, and my short game was a hot mess. I also three putted a lot, and just generally found myself out of sync for most of the round. We played the whites, and in all honesty, I probably should have played from the gold tees, because I was not able to reach many par fours in regulation. In fact, I only hit two greens in regulation all day; the second and the 18th, which I three putted for a bogey six. I just felt like I wasn't getting any turn, which is to be expected after that long of a lay-off. I did go out in the backyard this afternoon and get in some work, and I started to feel a bit of my timing returning.
  5. I think they have had some supply chain issues, but from what I understand, they are trying to get back into the driver business.
  6. Current bag setup: G400 9° Driver w/Alta Stiff Shaft G20 15° 3 Wood w/Alta Stiff Shaft G400 19° 3 Crossover w/Alta Stiff Shaft G30 Irons - 4-GW w/DG S300 Shafts Glide 3.0 Wedges - 54°/12 & 58°/10 Select Squareback Hoofer Bag
  7. My wife bought a laminating machine. I might have to give this a shot. Two of the courses I play with some regularity have yardage books, but Pine Hills (which is a goat track) does not, and I will be taking my kids there to play because it's cheap and wide open. The front nine is pretty straightforward, but the back nine has a lot of water and forced carries, which would be made a lot easier with a yardage book. It would also make it easier for me to set up tees for the kids to play from.
  8. I pulled a muscle in my back a while back, so I've not been able to test them out until recently. I took them to the course with my four kids, my wife, and Ping G30s, and played nine holes. As excited as I was, I have to say that they were not able to push the Pings out of the bag. They just weren't as forgiving, and felt a good bit heavier, which seemed to slow my swing down. Whatever distance gains the hot face got me, seemed to be lost. I was consistently longer, and more accurate with the Pings. I may look into getting them reshafted with graphite shafts, but that's not going to happen for a while.
  9. My cousin had an Otey Crisman putter. It was cool to play around with, but I couldn't get the speed right on the course.
  10. Futuristic... but not apocalyptic.
